Because the internet is a communication tool that allows people the safety of pseudo?anonymity. See, not everyone wants to be found or found out. Straight and the Straight experience are not exactly things to be proud of and many people have little or no desire to disclose themselves fully for all public to know. I for one am one of those people, but it was nice to make the reconnects that I have, I just don't want my name Googled and my posts popping up, personally.

This is Valorie. I hung out w/ you guys when I left the program. I am glad to hear you are still around. I have been trying to find Ellen Savage. Have you heard from her? How is Anita and Bill? So many straightlings are a still a part of my life including my husband who I met at straight. Hope life is well where you are. Love to hear more from you.

Anita & Bill are great, they both have families...Bill lives in Bedford with his wife & 2 kids...Anita lives in Austin with her husband & 2 kids.  No children for me, being Aunt Angie is just fine...I get to give the kids back to their parents![ This Message was edited by: angienations on 2004-12-21 15:15 ]

I guarantee you that 99% of the people here would let you know through a PM who they were. I know what you mean though, when I first found this site, all I could do was wonder, "Do I know them?" I just wanted to find my old friends.

LME it seems like we'll always be connected, doesn't it?  i'm driving to austin in the morning to see anita & her fat babies (she needs a babysitter the morning after xmas & doesn't want to ask anyone else).  I hope you have a great weekend.  

The first few times i searched this site i was overwhelmed...now i'm reading a little at a time, just wondering about people.  I just read the other day that Casey Aldridge & Eddie Sanchez are dead, i didn't know that.  i don't know why, but it still kind of shocks me when i hear about more people who are dead (that i was in straight with).
