About half of regular Fornits posters post nameless. This hardly makes them guests. "Guest" also implies welcomeness, which is laughable.

"Anonymous" also signifies solidarity with the larger Anonymous of the rest of the Internet's dark side.

What's wrong with "Anonymous?"  It's warm, dark, friendly, carries the friendly cloak of protection that the forest lends...

A Guest, in my view, is more a transient or fellow who we should welcome and show hospitality towards but it is also someone who isn’t going to be here very long.. just passing thru

I always see Anonymous as a person who is bearded or incognito…a pseudo person who isn’t going away and wants not to be known, secretive.

I also always thought it might be nice to give the anon or guest a drop down option to identify themselves a little more than just a generic title  (anon or guest) and allow them to choose, depending on mood or personal choice…maybe along the lines of a few avatars which would better identify who they wanted to be that day… angry, happy, sad  â€¦. Or how they intended to respond.. Aggressive, passive.. and still keep their anonymous status.

This may help the people responding to the post to have an idea of the persons mood also.  I have often misdiagnosed the intent of posters feelings only to regret my response.

This gaining of a more personal posting may help to transition them into getting a permanent login name also.

I think Anon is a more accurate descritpion of most of the posters.

You must be straight up out of your mind. Or is it just self loathing? Remember when I tied together some hundreds of your anon posts? It was funny as hell, really. Poor Reagan Youth! If that tweaker weren't paranoid enough, I had to go and swap record id for user id and turned him into the cat in the hat. Would have been so much more apt a title for you, really.

Anyway, how about 'undisclosed'?

Hmmm... little strange.  Maybe I have selective memory......I think you are talking about me, but not sure what all that means.

Anyway... undisclosed is more secretive than "Anon" and kinda sucks... how about "unexposed" which has a more cloaked feel to it... or a more generic "Blind post"  which contains more of an intent to stay hidden.

I think it's less prejudicial. And I think that's why you don't like it. Maybe Wormtongue would have been better.

Anonymous is better, but I could really give a fuck what ya'll call it. This thread is 'anally tainted' at best. Get a life.....

Perhaps there something more concise that could possibly convey the idea of "a voice from nowhere"..?

Sorry, I'm high... but you know, "a voice from nowhere" is kinda long...

it's not like you actually have to type it each time!
how lazy can you be?  sorry:  forgot you are buzzed...

I like the fact that 'guest' implies a welcome invitee, temporary visitor.  With  your 'guest' appearance come the responsibilities of 'the rules'.  Stuff like;
don't wear out your welcome;
treat 'it' like 'it's' your own;
leave 'it' the way you found 'it'
;
your basic courtesys, ya know?  it might be too much assumption on my part that most people have those basic -true-north-compass-headings.
(I had to purchase out of pocket -seems mine got damaged in delivery- just lucky I noticed it even :wink:)
don't post things You wouldn't want INTERNATIONALLY published, w/YOUR face next to it :wave: :exclaim:  :rofl:
