Thinking people hate blogs

Well here's a way to get passed over for a look.  Personally if I see anything that looks "bloggish", I usually pass over.  Don't get me wrong.. I do a cursory scan, but since most blogs seem to be nothing but someone's glorified diary, I move on.

I thought there was a greater vision for this board

That format is new as of not quite a week ago(?).  The pieces currently there were originally front pagers to keep us all abreast of recent developments vis a vis ISP moves.  It is now turning into a real First Amendment issue, and my guess is that Ginger put those front pagers together as a blog with the intention of attracting the attention of as well as informing the general public.  A blog seems to be a more palatable format for those not personally familiar to the industry.

A "blog" attracts those seeking some sort of fiction or other personally influenced writing.  There is much debate lately as to whether "bloggers" should have "journalist" stature.

Preliminary response is only laughter at "bloggers", so I would have to give actual journalists the point on this one.

It was journalists you were hoping to attract, to carry your story to mainstream, wasn't it?
