That was Pam S. and when I got there in '82 she was a Sr. She later married Alan H. (whom I detested). For later phasers, remember the wedding pictures in the photoalbum in the front office? That was Pam and Alan's wedding. Pam was nice to look at, but I don't have fond memories of her.

Ricky P. when I forst got there was still a Jr. and was a hard case, but always fair to me at least. When I went in on the Mini-Program, Ricky was back on staff and a Sr. HE had changed a lot and was one of the nicest people there. He could still be a hard case, but most of the time was quite mellow. He left staff after about 2 weeks of my mini.

Kosmo- I can remember the alarm system you are talking about. I was hooked to like a police siren or something. I think I stayed there as a Nuke with my oldcomer. Wasn't one of the guys named Johnny L, an import from Alabama?

Yep! Miles was digustingly intelligent.

That was Susan G. I think she had a thing for me so I was pretty safe in her raps. The thing about Miles you hit right on the head and made me break a smile remembering.

I went out to dinner with another person who was in there the day before yesterday and we discussed this. I, being above average stupid in some things, was in there twice. The first time, in the early 80's things were everybit as bad as all the things I hear everyone talking about.

The second time was during te late 80's. There had been MANY changes. Steppers back in group weren't blasted constantly (thank God) and there was very little restraining. People were never taken out of group that I can remember. Heck, even the misbehavers were boring. I can think of no phaser carving in their arms. In fact, all my horror stories come from the early 80's.

The reason I asked if you were ever in Atlanta is I can remember Terry E. (tall, really skinny, model good looks, blonde hair) confronting a 7-stepper from St. Pete named Marnie in ATL on a refresher. Thought it might have been you. I was wrong though.

Marnie, did you ever wind up in Atlanta?

I remember Miles and Dennis both. Knew Dennis pretty well, but not Miles. Was Susan the name of the staff member? There were two Susan's. One was a Sr. with black hair and the other a Jr. with reddish-brown hair and freckles. Both were high strung and it was easy to get on their bad side. I know the Sr. was much heavier into drugs, but they both were junkies.

Dude, I was knocking down $250+ a week with no bills..., and I still worked outside.

I remember Ms. Crow and always liked her. For some reason she struck me as giving a damn. I really should remember Ms. Byrd but I don't. I do remember this, Ms. Milnachuk used to always scare the shit out of me. No idea why as she never confronted me.

Yes, there was always a VERY high relaspe rate for staff member. I can even remember rumors of staff members using drugs and leading raps at the same time. I remember a parent telling me that I didn't want to be on staff once because to many of them relasped.

This happened just after I got out in Dec of 84. Apparently the Dir decided he'd had enough of the fucking misbehavers and decieded to confront the issue head on. With the help of several of the more gung-ho 5th phasers and some of the staff, the misbehavers were taken into the bathroom and shown what life in the gutter was like. From what I heard they had their heads flushed in the toilets and, with no pretense of restraining the client, had the hell beaten out of them. I think there were some broken bones. Several staff members were fired including the Director, all the participating 5th phasers were started over or thrown out of the program. Tom really could tell you more about it he was still there.

Holly? Boy I had a thing for her also. She actually turned out to be a really good friend. she got fired from staff for fooling around with JC Keever. At least I think it was him. I've tracked down Nathan Moore and John Hull. Both married with children. John is still married to Carrie (formerly Carrie Horne). Never could get in touch with John but I talked to Carrie for a while. She is just a sweet as she ever was. I guess out of all the people I miss then the most.

Ed drove an Olds and Roswell to Marietts was a long haul. Cary never did much for me and I don't remember getting along with her very well. I think it was a maturity thing. Greg, wasn't he a fellow dead head? I can't remember. Wouldn't mind getting back in touch with Holly though. Send me an email to [email protected] and I'll send you the real address. If you want. -CL

Hell No! I never was part of the Mr. Pride chiche`. I had me a government job working with Abby (can't rememer the last name's) Dad. You'd remember her. A flat out babe that drove that Black Fiat Spyder. I can still picture her in tight jeans leading a rap. The government job paid very well and I had lots of days off and pretty good benefits also. If you can ever get one of them take it. They would be seriously disappointes if your put in a full days work.

That would be me! Last I heard of Ed he had gotten into some big time trouble in FL. Not sure what it was though, but I think it was his dad that told me. Ed had some serious probs. that str8 aggravated and he was never right afterward.

The Restruant ws Rio Bravos Cantina and it paid REALLY well for a 20 something cook. I am a computer nerd now and don't miss hot kitcjens all that much. Still like to cook though and judging from my continuing battle with my waist line a damn good one!

It is really great to hear from you guys!

He was Mike McCallum and I can't remember her name either. I remember she was jewish as she brought this Rabbi into group to explain Rosh Shashana. Her last name began with an M. Dennis Buttermer was the director and Meyers, that was her last name.

Was just after Exec. Rap and the two Execs. were switching the rap stools with the trainies. Mike stood up and Hit her in the jaw. I think I was on 5th phase at the time.
