I think this is a good post, a personally articulate post without assuming that others are going to pick up a flag and carry it.  We all hope our day comes soon.

GregFL,

You are correct.  No kidding. And here's some more truth for all of us here at kookooland:

I spend alot of time being upset over the fact that alot of people come here and give advice.  I have yet to meet any qualified staff, counselors, doctors, attorney.  I have yet to meet ANY qualified journalists, writers, film makers, or any other certified anything out of anybody here except for certifiably done in.

When you say to share in our spirit of community - this is the first step toward honesty on a subjective site like this.  Noone here is trained professionally enuff to offer any real advice, not trained enuff to keep the negative shits in your head from leaking out.  There was never a time that I got any good advice merely from someone who has suffered or become a survivor, mostly they would rather you be like them than figure out the best plan.

Now a room full of neurotics and whackos isn't a very positive thing, and even when you get a doctor in the room, its still a crowd.  You get more than four or five folks together and there's gonna fucking be mayhem.

My point is that I don't worry about a site that has no licensed merit.  It's like that high school job you used to work at back in the day: you want to work there still because it was cool, but it's too small for you now.  I am content to know some of you, even though I don't owe any of you a fucking thing, and although I am frightened of you for keeping vital information from some of us.  There is noone here who is god, I haven't met any attorneys or doctors here, some of you have low college educations or maybe even a B.A .... but even that is just a piece of paper. I don't worry about someone who got the lucky chance to be a monitor because of a cool hand and head, or someone who had an idea to run a survivor's site. And maybe we'll share an adult beverage sometime or whatever, but to share something in brutal confidentiality on any site without any proper staffing and whatnot is nothing to worry about. Just like that old school job that expected you to be on time and work long hours for shitty pay; I don't go back to those old places unless I'm in a humorous state of mind.
