Who maintains this site?

I am posting anon because that is what I choose to do.  AND I am not animals nor any of animals schizophrenic personas.  I am just someone that thinks of your posts as words from a loudmouth busybody type that I find personally annoying.  Again, MY opinion.

Relax and don't be so aggressive, I don't want to kill anybody for crying out loud, nor do I wish to fish for a flame war with you.  I am just a person that finds what you have to say annoying at times and I thought I would mention it.  I am certain many people don't agree with my perspective or opinions in certain matters and such is life.  I called you a busybody and annoying and you called me an oldcomer and an asshole.  Are we even?

You are not my sister.

Pietra, I will never take back my position on this issue. I never said anything about censorship; you did. So, you can afford to loosen that tight grip you have on the first amendment. I don't see this forum taking away our liberty.

I also never once said anything about not arguing nor did I mention being polite. I merely stated that if people had to register to post here, then it would take away a lot of the childish posters who are obviously bored and have nothing else to do with their lives other than to come here and make a mockery of what it is we are trying to do. They would be accountable for what they say. And I bet that alone would stop a lot of the "trolling", as Greg called it.

I remember coming here and talking to people for the first time like it was just yesterday. I'm so glad I did. But, none of this was happening then. If it had been, I'm not sure I would have bothered. And I'm not talking about the disagreements or lack of "politeness". I am talking specifically about topics on the forum?s main page that are obviously mocking Wes Fager's post about a major talk show. I'm talking about heckling that really takes away from what it is we are trying to do here. This forum shouldn't cater to that, nor should it tolerate it, imo.

Then there's that timeless first amendment whipping child statement "well, who's to say what is offensive?" I think anybody with a decent IQ will know when somebody is here to flame and troll. All you have to do is look at the number of posts they have and how many times they do it to determine how much we value their presence here.

I've made my point as clearly as possible, so I'm done with it. I also know nothing will change as Ginger has stated her view as well, and I accept that and will stop in from time to time.

Thanks Greg for taking a look at it and considering what I said.

Respectfully,

Okay, this thread is demonstrating clearly that we have many varying opinions on this issue. I see valid points on all sides..

Just to be clear..

This forum will not be censored.

For an individual to be banned from here would be a very extreme situation.

So Shane, your offense is noted. Some of it is even shared. However, we will not be requiring people to register to post here. That too would scare away people, and frankly some of the mulitple log-ins are entertaining. On the other hands, a very few abuse the multiple log in feature so they can ask then answer their own questions, lend support in an argument to themselves, and to attack people in a way where it looks like multiple people are doing it. This is vile, but there is no easy solution. It is left up to the individual to determine what is going on and what the appropriate response to this type of thing is. Often it is to ignore the more offensive persons here, even pity their lack of wit and confidence. Around here you say something you own it. No one will come to your rescue.

Have we beaten this horse to death yet?

Greg even if you were to try to implement some restriction concerning the "multiple log in feature" it wouldn't work because I imagine a fair amount of people if not most are using DHCP (they don't have a static IP that you could restrict) and even if they did have a static IP they could always login somewhere else, or run fakeroute or some such hackware...
