Thanks for the information. I have been calling DAN doctors and actually found someone in Dallas Texas that is going to try to help me out with diet and vitamins. It wasn't that hard to talk my ex out of sending him. We've both heard some horror stories about boot camps here in AZ.

Diet and vitamins - supplements - is a good way to go.  My sister started working with a company this past April and has noticed a huge change in herself since taking the supplements.

Basically, you swab the inside of your cheek and send off your DNA for analysis and they formulate dietary supplements based on your DNA.  They're using somewhere like 100 different organic ingredients with a possibility of 177,000 different combinations, so you know that it is specific to your DNA.  I sent my DNA out last week and I can't wait for my supplements to come in.

If you'd like more information, check out the website at http://www.mygenewize.com/kelly.

Best wishes regarding your son.

I remember Mom & Dad Cox were really nice.  I remember that everyone always wanted to go to the Cox Host Home.

Chris - did you get started over or something?  Or maybe it took you a long time to get to 2nd phase?  Not sure - I think I remember some of the girls getting to go to your host home for awhile.  But I don't think I ever did.

So your point there is really moot. I think you are too worried about a stupid message board, noone gives a fuck but the same old people about whats posted here, and none of them matter as far as your life is concerned..

Try to cut your fornits time down to like twice a month....its eating you up.  :scared:

I can vouch for the whole cop out thing.  I visited Allison shortly after my copout and she had Kathy David's class ring.  I also talked to Kathy a short time after that and she stated that Allison had stolen her class ring.  There was also a guy involved, a commencee still in aftercare, he helped Allison change her identity after she copped out and his sister helped.  Apparently they had dyed her hair black and gotten her a fake I.D. and everything.

As to whether there was a sexual relationship between the two, I cannot say.  I kept in contact with Kathy for awhile after Straight.  She never mentioned anything about that.  And even though she tormented poor linchpin while he was there, she was always very cool to me and I considered her to be one of the better people there.

My pleasure.  I have been trying to find a way to post it on the site, but can't figure out how.  Too, I'm worried that if I post the whole thing, might get tagged for copyright infringment or something.  Anyone else wants it, just let me know.  If you're worried about giving me your personal information, I have scanned it to adobe format, so I can email it to you instead of snail mail.

My cousin has a friend that was in Plymouth Straight, but I don't know her name.  I think they met in a different rehab, or maybe knew each other from school briefly.  Not sure.  I don't have contact with my cousin anymore though.  She's a heroine addict and has lost custody of all 4 of her children because of her addiction.

Yep!  I didn't like the doctor, maybe they had a different one when you were there.  When I was there it was a very old man and his very old wife was the nurse.  I went in at 17 and had never had a PAP before either.  When I asked why they were doing this, they told me it was because I was such a little whore.

Straight, Inc. and Derivatives / How can i get a hold of my file from str8
« on: September 15, 2005, 03:04:00 PM »
In 1992 I worked at a rehab called FirStep, in Carrolton, TX.  The founder of FirStep had been a prior executive staff member at Dallas Straight, after it had moved to Las Colinas.  He was not on staff during my program, and FirStep began after Dallas Straight had been shut down.

There was a back room in this place that had some of the client files from Dallas Straight.  But this was not a complete collection.  My file, for instance was not there.  When I had inquired about why he had the files, etc., I was told that it was all confidential information since they were not clients of FirStep.  I, still being very programmed, obeyed mindlessly.  FirStep was not open for very long.

Heath Dunkin worked there, I think he was there when FirStep closed.  Also was a man by the name of Wes Kitchens, who I later worked with at Sundown Ranch in Canton, TX.  It seems like Wes had said he had boxes of stuff, not sure whether it was stuff from Straight or FirStep, and I would have no idea how to get in touch with any of these people.

I sometimes have a history of burning my bridges.......

Straight, Inc. and Derivatives / Social Security Disability

I work for a lawfirm and I handle all of our Social Security cases.  I have many, many people that have various types of mental illnesses and are drawing disability checks based on that as well as other conditions.  I have never heard of the government taking anyone away who collect disability based on the records the Social Security office obtained in order to make their decision to grant benefits.

I would strongly suggest, however that you do get an attorney to help you with your disability claim.  The Social Security has a backlog so extensive right now that it is taking almost 2 years from the date of application until you are in front of the judge to determine your need for disability.

If you become homeless, your case can be pushed up ahead of time.  If you attempt suicide, that is supposed to put a "rush" on your case as well, but I have two clients who have literally attempted suicide, and their cases have not been rushed, even after several letters to the judge to get it bumped up the line.

You are allowed to earn wages after you begin receiving benefits, but there is a cap on what your monthly earnings can be.  I am not sure what amount that is, I know that your monthly earnings cannot exceed the amount of your monthly benefits, but if you call your local Social Security office, they can inform you of that.  You just can have "gainful" employment.

I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors.

I remember Delaney, both Leslies, Kim, I guess I remember everyone. I dunno if it would be better to not remember. I was only 13 when I was there. I went in 2 days before Christmas 1987."

When did you get out of Straight?

It's great that people want to sue Straight and the "powers that be" behind Straight.  But don't you think the statute of limitations has run??  I'm not versed in Texas law other than work/comp and that I've even forgotten a lot of.  But it seems to me that unless a Complaint was filed within a certain time limit, you're up the creek, so to speak.
