Straight, Inc. and Derivatives / The Truth About Kathy Rowe
« on: July 21, 2003, 04:43:00 PM »
I get mixed messages from you guys, butter and emsr. I thought you guys were not supporting pathway. What's up? In one post I hear you saying things more or less against them, and then in the next one it's like, come on guys, "give em a break".

Also, why is it that when someone comes to a public forum, they leave an email address and then never come back. If we wish to establish a dialogue, I would set it up right here. It's time to put the money where the mouth is KATHY ROW, and all you Pathway supporters! What's the harm in answering a simple question or two here. Why do I have to jump through Pathway hoops to get there, and then wait for someone to ask me "what did she say..." Come on out and play. Don't be afraid.
My opinion is, and you all can take this however you like, that the reason she and all the others out there in Pathwayville do not post answers to my questions is because they know that they are GUILTY of something that they will be held accountable for later. All the more reason to close that place and the sooner the better. This country does not need Pathway. It needs neither Kids Helping Kids, WWASP, SAFE, nor all the other highly abusive and allegedly criminal, fraudulent, and otherwise morally bankrupt treatment centers.
There are many people dead now because of the treatment modality that exists at Pathway and the others. Why is it so hard to figure out that the time to stop is long overdue.
With respect to my earlier comment about butter and survivor, to each their own you know. If you want, you could send ISAC a statement detailing your treatment. (the fax is working now)  :smokin:

Well, EMSR, I suppose your stomach has recovered since the open meeting. Just hearing those 2 words are enough to make mine twitch a little.
I don't know if they let you talk to 1st phasers there. Did you try? If you had, then you could have gotten a lot more information about what they do. What I like to hear is that the clients are thinning out a bit now. Seems like people are learning what they are all about and making better choices for helping their children. Without clients, it is hard to treat them, right?  :smokin:

Straight, Inc. and Derivatives / Where are the children?
« on: July 16, 2003, 07:35:00 PM »
None of our neighbors have kids. LOL... They are busybodies and really keep to themselves, unless they see a piece of copper laying next to my driveway, then they call the EPA to make sure it aint radioactive.
My kids go outside and play all day, except in school months. Sometimes they go down the road a ways to a BIG farm and hang out with other kids there, but for the most part, they play here.
I think the favorite past time for them is to find bugs. ALL KINDS. They love to play with them and they even figured out how to preserve them in a glass case they got from the computer recycle pile. Once, they put some cocoon thing in the closet thinking it was dead. About 2 years later, the grub pupae lookin thing was still squirming after they opened the fuzzy spiderweb stuff. It was really rather creepy actually. We still have yet to identify it. lol... They also are fascinated by the F-18s, C-130's, A-6's, (and yes... F-4's) and Harriers, and big ol squadrons of Blackhawk, Apache, Pavelow and Chinook helicopters that fly right above the treetops and shake the windows every day here. They can all spot them as specks. Maybe they'll be fighter pilots one day. lol They have little forts set up, I think they want one of them Blackhawks to land or something.

I can understand how you have things like mannerisms, etc... leftover from the program. A lot of former clients do. It is almost like we are still under the influence of all that "treatment". I have been around several survivors, some of whom think that it was a long time ago and they have "gotten over it", but they get all loud and excited when talking about past events, they remember it like it was yesterday, and some still talk using terms commonly used in the program. They say they are over it and don't think about it. I guess it is possible that they have suppressed it for a long time and it is still there, eventhough they are not consciously thinking that way. I don't know if you have explained that to your wife and daughter, but if you do/did it may help them understand a little bit more about why. I think that as more time goes by it will get better. People want to know why this is so important in our lives 20 years later, but they were not there, so they have no clue. It's ok, please don't be too hard on yourself.

this has nothing to do with safe.

Apparently some people do not understand how and why someone would abuse a cult survivor, let alone someone as astute and reputable as Rick Ross. It is fairly hard work, however, abuse is abuse and kidnapping or whatever other euphemism you call it is what straight and many other programs allegedly supported, condoned, promoted, etc. If people cannot understand that point, that is ok. If you want to cuss and complain, call me names, etc... that is ok too. You make the bed in which you lay. Everyone does, that's life, right? If you can look beyond the history of people and what they have done, great. I suppose that rules are not meant to apply to everyone. Forgiveness is always an option. This 1996 incident just seems full of irony, in my opinion, given the motto of the conference. Good luck either way.

Sounds like some people here are paranoid.
If you have someone you wish to have speak to survivors about treatment abuse, why pick someone who kidnapped and abused a cult survivor, let alone rides a wave of such great controversy? Is this all lies that the courts made up just to make Ross look bad? Are you plugging the Rick Ross cult deprogramming methods? Sounds rather contradictory to the theme of the conference doesn't it? The point here is that people who attend the conference should know more about who's speaking there, especially the survivors.
