I've been perusing this forum since the merge and couldn't help noticing all the hub-bub concerning AARC, proud Canuck descendant of Straight, Inc. and I must say I'm glad to see Canada doing something right for a change! It is good to see that help is available to druggie kids not only here in good old USA, but in other parts of the world, too!

SIBS has been going strong down here in Florida; our intake quotient has been on a steady increase with the proliferation of drugs available to young teens on the streets these days. Tough Love is alive and well! Can we just sit back and watch these naive druggie kids ruin their lives, as well as the lives of their families?? HELL NO! There comes a time when parents must step up, take a stand and decide to do something about it instead of letting these druggie kids destroy themselves!!!

So I'm glad to see that AARC is up and running. Don't pay any mind to these nay-sayers, people; you know in your hearts what's right...

Hello you bunch of low-life druggies! I'm here to tell you that you all got what you deserved when you were sent to Straight. After all, you did the necessary things to get your parents to put you in the program, or you wouldn't have ended up there. So you want to try and claim that we took some people that didn't have drug problems? PURE BULLSHIT! You were dry-druggies!! Every last one of you scumbags would have ended up DEAD, INSANE or IN JAIL if it hadn't been for STRAIGHT, INC., and you DAMN WELL know it!!!  :flame:

And some of you have the audacity to say that Straight screwed up your families? You must have stopped working your programs, obviously..so TOUGH SHIT! Now do yourselves a favor -- quit fuckin' whining that you were "mistreated" and show a little appreciation for what  Straight did for you!

I would like to take this opportunity to propose a marketing venture to the people of this forum. I am currently designing a line of du-rags with the word "hi-yuh" as part of their motif. I'm thinking that a nice slogan for the cardboard tag would be something like, "'Nuf respekt for the Hi-yuh" or something like that. Most of the youths were introduced to drugs by schoolmates or other friends,who often remained their chief suppliers. Designed for those in their early teens through early 20`s,the state-licenced program isolates clients  from outside influences during the initial treatment phase. A newcomer is prohibited from reciving mail or phone calls and must live with  the family of another youth involved in a latter stage of treatment. Some graduates stay on as paid "peer staff," assisting the professional staff of psychologists and drug abuse counselors.
