Sleep or lackthereof
« on: May 10, 2005, 05:22:00 AM »
I havent been able to sleep in ...I think I got 2 hours this week..no speed or nothing just sheer insomnia.
I am starting to feel like edward norton on fight club.
I am taking melatonin and valerian root and it aint helping.
When I do start to drift off I have this recurring dream Im in Nazi occupied europe watching this huge battle ..bombs shaking me and making my ears ring..
Dead soldiers everywhere...sometimes Im in the Auschwitz camp.
This all started since my methadone kick. Im sure its side effect but Im like a fucking..zombie and I do have psy sleep meds but dont like to take em..just on principal.
Any suggestions? Any reason Im having recurring Nazi dreams?

Been watching the History Channel? Maybe your brain held onto something you saw there. Of course, the obvious reason could be that you were a prisioner of the war on drugs.

Hey Scar I'm up late nights too these days. Funny thing too that you mentioned Fight Club cuz I just started watching that one last night. Creepy. The movie itself I mean. It kinda reminds me of Taxi Driver in the way that he narrates about things throughout the film, not to mention other qualities that his character seems to have in common w/ Travis Bickle (the main character played by DeNiro in Taxi Driver)

Deep, or something like that.

Valium, Xanax, Benadryl, Delym (the cough syrup), wine, sleeping pills!

Can you find a doctor to work with you?

Feel better soon...

Iknow this relates to individual chemistry and tolerance, but a decent merlot or cabernet will knock me out colder than Mike Tyson, and when I wake up I still have my ear!!!

Word.

Fucking weird.  I had a Nazi dream the other night, too.  I was a medic in the German army, and this SS officer and I were shooting morphine we had stolen.  The Russians were in the city, headed our way, and we could hear the screams of the wounded whose dope we were shooting up.  When the SS officer started rushing out from his shot, he stood up and said "Seig Heil!" while giving the Nazi salute.  I didn't pay him much attention, just did my own shot and tried to ignore the wounded soldiers who were screaming in pain.
