Keys to Success: Addiction Awareness

"Cigarettes are a gateway drug"

One week you are having a quiet smoke, the next you are mainlining heroin.  Those tobacco companies won't know what hit them when the DEA kick in their doors!

Reminds of an article I read, about a boy who was sent to a WWASP gulag-- because he smoked cigarettes and skipped school *once*. While some of these parents are truly trying to help their children, many of them are just crazy control freaks.

Besides - how many other programs do you know that have seminars for parents called "Keys to Success?

Addiction Awareness, Effective COmmunication, Living Abundantly, etc. are all great seminars!

So, please, let me hear you twist your take on what they all mean.  Amuse me.  I'm bored today.

You're great entertainment yourself. If you were still able to think, you would know that all of WWASP's seminars are based on LifeSpring seminars. You would also know that LifeSpring is a known a cult. You would also be able to identify the cultic features in WWASP, and save yourself and your child from getting sucked into this shit.

Good question. Think maybe you have a mole or two among your ranks? Maybe more? Personally, I don't think WWASP has very good security practices at all. Just a week or two ago, one very outspoken critic received an invitation to become a seminar facilitator. Hmmmm, makes ya' wonder, doesn't it? It would be disasterous if all that secret stuff leaked out to the public, wouldn't it? I mean, if people get a peek at it when you haven't been stressed and mindfucked first, they might just see ya' comin', huh?

My view is that if there is no evidence for it, then forget about it. An agnostic is somebody who doesn't believe in something until there is evidence for it, so I'm agnostic.

And what would happen if you disagreed? Just simply refused to say that you were an addict?

From the bottom of any large organization looking up through the ranks, human greed and stupidity look a lot like a conspiracy.

nothing, really. but then you wouldnt move up as fast in the program so i just let them tell me i was an addict. and if you tried to argue it, they'd say you're "not working" and in denial. and then you'd get shit on by the upper level girls in the group who would basically just reword what the family rep said.  and if your group doesnt like you, you're screwed because in order to move up in the program you have to be voted up by your group. like i said in my other post, these people feed on fear. thats how the whole place works. your so scared when you get there that you try to do anything you can to get out of there faster, and so eventually you just let them win. and thats when the brainwashing starts.

Yeah, that's what I did too. I just lied and assumed everyone else was lying too.

Come to the woods, for here is rest. There is no repose like that of the green deep woods. Here grow the wallflower and the violet. The squirrel will come and sit upon your knee, the logcock will wake you in the morning. Sleep in forgetfulness of all ill. Of all the upness accessible to mortals, there is no upness comparable to the mountains.

Here's another one:

Keys to Success
MANIFEST YOUR VISION: LIVE ABUNDANTLY

http://www.parentsupportservices.com/se ... /index.cfm

WEEK 3 CLEARING

"Plan time this week to take the actions you have identified on your worksheet to be clear and complete in your relationships with others.  This may include writing letters of apology. If you lied to your child about taking them to the program, having them escorted, write them a letter acknowledging this lie as a means to move on."

Or you could just not do it in the first place.  Just saying sorry and leaving them there does not make it all right!

This is EXACTLY why parents who send their child to these programs will be lucky if they have a relationship with them past the age of 18.

I myself have gone to Discovery, Focus, Accountability, PC1 (twice), PC2, and too many keys to success seminars to count. the only seminars I thought were even remotly helpful were Discovery and one Keys seminar about personality types. Luckily I got to skip alot of keys seminars. Seminars are just plain a bad idea if for nothing more then the fact that the facilitators the programs hire are a bunch of arrogant assholes. David Gilcrese, Bill, Lou, Dwayne, everyone except Jan. And even Jan works for a corrupt organization so i cant say I feel she is much better. Even if the seminars had good things to say, they wont help anyone with a bastard like David Gilcrese running the show.
