Everyone has asked over and over:

Why were the Sudweeks thrown out of Mexico?
What was the deal down there with all the Whitmore kids?

SAN DIEGO  2-22-2001

"A Utah couple who operate centers for troubled adolescents has been ordered to shut down their program on the Baja California Peninsula and leave Mexico with 14 teen clients

"Mark and Chery Sudweeks were given until Friday to leave lMexico because they violated their tourist visas by illegally operating a business, according to a spokesman for the U.S. Consulate in Tijuana.

"The Sudweekses, of Alpine, Utah, ran the Chilanko Lodge Treatment Center in Santa Rosalia."

So, did the Suds have a "school" in Alpine, Utah before they came to Nephi? This just gets weirder by the day.

Did the Sudweeks have a school in Alpine before they came to Nephi??-----

  Truth is at that time they never really had a school.  Alpine was a house they owned that they used as a stop over between Canada and Mexico.  They did not move into the Whitmore until March of 2001.

So it appears---2001 is when the Sudweeks were NO LONGER WELCOME in Canada OR Mexico. So they settled in nice little town of Nephi, Utah.

So, at least now a Time-Line is working.

It appears that the Sudweeks might have had intentions to have "their program" outside the United States until things sort of fell apart.

There was the animal abuse up in Canada.
Then they were run out of Mexico for running a business without a license.

AND don't forget the New Hope Academy mess down in Samoa--and the big bad connection to Steve Cartisano!

ISAC's WWASP Program List shows Mark Sudweeks as an owner of New Hope Academy.

Makes one think the Suds ended up in Nephi perhaps not by choice, but because they ran out of other places to be. Canada, Mexico, Samoa did not want them there!  And the Suds just could not follow the rules in the fine State of Utah.

Rather basic rules at that: Don't mistreat kids!

How and when did the Sudweeks become associated with Sue Scheff/PURE?

Is PURE the only referral agency that places kids at Whitmore or are there others?

How many kids are currently residing at Whitmore and of those kids, how many were placed by parents who actually visited the facility and met the owners/operators before committing their child into this program?

I can only speak of our experience at Whitmore, ANON:

We did not meet the owners, Mark and Cheryl Sudweeks prior to enrolling our daughter in October 2004. The Sudweeks had the kids at Lake Powell for what was described to us as a camp-out trip, with the focus on "FEELINGS."

We did speak on the telephone, and exchanged a couple of emails with Mark Sudweeks prior to enrollment.  We never spoke to Cheryl Sudweeks or received any emails from her. She would not respond to any of our communications to her UNTIL we sent an email that we would be removing our daughter from Whitmore. ONLY THEN, did Cheryl Sudweeks find it "necessary" to call our home.

We enrolled our daughter with the therapist, Tim Lowe, who told us that ALL of the kids at Whitmore, 40 at the time, were ALL placed through P.U.R.E. and Sue Scheff.  We do not feel that Tim Lowe had any reason to lie to us.  He also re-stated this to us two other times.
Our daughter was driven to Lake Powell to join the Sudweeks and the other children at Lake Powell by the Sudweeks' daughter Trinity, and her husband, Jeff.

We have no idea how the Sudweeks and Sue Scheff met.

We withdrew our daughter amid the allegations of child abuse by these owners.

So what's te point of having Sue Scheff refer any of her troubled youths to this "school" anyway?

They have said before that they are out of the bussiness but they always seem to come back. Joyce the name Chilanko Lodge is actually what the hunting and fishing lodge is called not the school the school in Canada and in Mexico was called "Who am I Discovery"
