OD, I think we got us a "Hyde Schools" board now!
Scroll down and look for it.

I tried to go to it to post the link and just got
a message saying "this website has been cancelled"
What's up with that? Here's the message:

I go to Hyde in Maine now, and yes they still have all of those things. I've been on shadow numerous times, workcrew, 5:30's....and of course scrubing floors with toothbrushes. But I wouldnt change my experiences there for the world. I love Hyde and I'm going to graduate from here in the year 2008!!!

Love the "real five words". That's a good start.

Does anyone know anything about Hyde in DC?  it's a day school, and their websites says nothing about being a reformatory or anything like that, but it does say it is associated w/ Bath and other school.  What exactly goes on there??

Don't know anything about Hyde DC except what's
on Hyde's website but I'll bet you dollars to
donuts it has something to do with Joe Gauld's
obsession with sports. I know Gauld likes to
recruit talented jocks from the ghetto for his
boarding schools with promises of an education
at an "elite prep school". Where better for a
farm team then DC?

Yes, please advise when and where you will start a website for Hyde!  We need to help get the word out so parents are not misled by their consultants or the school itself!!  I remember when I tried to research Hyde, I could not find anything online other than their own website!!  I know of many others who will join your website if given the opportunity including former parents, students and even teachers who had the smarts to leave!

Sad to say, that site is no more. Hyde found out
who Larry is and made him take it down (he's still
a Hyde student).
