Getting a child ready for escorts

I am interested to know that when a child is going to be escorted, is it a good idea to sedate that child before the escorts arrive? Or should the parent or parents just let the escorts handle it without sedating the child? I am asking because I feel I might need to get my son some help for his currently destructive behavior.

sedate a child? Please. That's inhumane. When in the program and they're acting out in the worst kind of way they are never sedated.

When in 'THE' program?
Perri, Sedation (chemical restraint) is used in some programs. You need to be more specific. Because it didn't happen (or you're not aware of it) in your program, doesn't rule it out industry-wide. It most definitely does happen.

It depends. If you feel that your son is gonna give the escorts alot of trouble, I would definitely sedate him.If you think he will back down from th escorts and go willingly,then I would not sedate him.

I would not reccemend any chemical restraint unless it is necessary. If the parent feels that the child is going to give the escorts significant trouble, chemical restraint might be necessary. If the proper dosage is given, it will be an effective tool in geting the child to the program safe and sound and also help the escorts stay safe.
