You think we'd put drugs in the food at SIBS?
Everyone knows it's a drug-free program!
Straight is about getting off of drugs.

Off of drugs---leading a Straight lifestyle.
Freedom from drugs is what we believe in.

Can you picture us drugging the kids before an
Open meeting? There's just no way it'll happen.
Ultimately, we hope to wean them off of meds---
Ritalin, Prozac, Wellbutrin, etc.
Studies have shown that these DON'T WORK for kids.
Even aspirin has abuse potential for druggies.

Why you would even ask perplexes me......
Ever think of the ramifications of drugging kids?

Why, it would be leading them directly to Jails,
Institutions, and Death!
Lots of other programs use drugs, I've heard.
Let's just say that SIBS isn't one of them......

Campbells soup? You won't have enough money to purchase name brand stuff. I think you better reconsider and purchase the store brand and off label soups.

Sorry, I was under the influence of several drugs at the time I asked. Can I have a role of Chef/Druggie or do you think that would be unethical?

Eventually you may be able to earn this position, but you'll have to complete the program first.

Love ya,

Will SIBS have it's own Escort Service or will they be using the same ones as other organizations?

SIBS will not rely on escort services, for the most part. Straight has a long-time tradition of convincing the parents (and nowadays in a lot of cases the clients themselves) that they are in need of our help, so we have no need for 3rd party coercion. The parents or the clients will take care of that like they always have.

Are all those allegations against DR.Miller Newton true?I am begining to think I should wait for Life By The Bay to begin operations and send my druggie daughter and her enabling brother there.

Some of them are, and some of them are most definitely NOT. When you're the best at anything, there are always those who would wish to bring you down. Doctor Newton is a prime example of this if there ever was one! This man has been giving his all in the name of treatment for decades now. I've seen him struggle through extreme difficulty and hardship along the way, but never to be daunted in the least. I urge you to choose SIBS despite the Doctor's "bad rep."
