shady grove, i'm curious now.  is your wife kim hyde?  she was on staff for a while and then left suddenly.  later i heard a rumor that she'd had a boyfriend who was a druggie or a withdrawal.  i've always wondered what happened to her, especially because she was one of the very few staff who did seem to have a heart.  

all i know about leslie murden, if i'm thinking of the right person (brunette of about 26 yrs as i recall) is that she had her wisdom teeth removed while in the program while on first or a low phase.  i attended, and she was not allowed (of course) any pain medication.  they did sedate her, but no pain med.  i was gone while she was on low phases, so i didn't know she bought into the whole thing and became a bitch staff member.  what a sad story.

No, anon, my wife is not Kim Hyde. In fact, I do not remember Kim at all.

Many here know my wife as Sophie. I will disclose her real name (although she has here). I was not in Straight with her either.

I remember Leslie as a redhead, but that was on exec staff. She was very intimidating.

I REALLY struggle to see Steve Turney as a victim, but if he went through there, he was.

(Senior staff Supervisor) Steve Tourney was one scary dude... when he layed into you...you knew it...he had those evil blue eyes...and he had that lisp thing that would cause him to spit when he talked...and he was sooooooo condenscending...

He used to have a pet timber wolf. I remember him bringing it into the back of group once... he was also famous for having paranah(sp?) in his office... satff woul come into group and talk about feeding mice to them...

Over the years I have heard rumours that he is dead...I have also heard rumours that he is/was gay... after I finally escaped that place in 89 I would sometimes see and/or hang out with staff members... (i.e. Jason H., Alicia P., Brendan M., Chris S., Margaret C., Mike R., Mike K., Richard M., Shane W., Craig S.) I always tried to dig up info on Steve...but I never ran into him... I have no idea what happened to him...I was always curious what he would be like on the outside...

either way...he was one of the most intimidating people in that place...

If you are still looking for K1m Hyd3 anon...I have information about why she left staff.... In a bizarre coincidence I found out last week that she is my best friend's ex wife. I have known her for many years As Kim #$#@@##@ she did not keep the name Hyd3 when she got married. She is doing well for herself. If you want more details PM me.

Saw Jim Sailor in a Tampa bar in 83. He was drunk said whats up man... He never trearted me bad so I was cool with him. I have also run across Pierce Kuhn and Clark Wickham all Drinking of course.
