Drawing an Analogy
« on: November 20, 2004, 07:42:00 PM »
I was reading this article:

http://www.nvic.org/Diseases/dimedia.htm

Has the decrease of infectious diseases in childhood through the mass use of vaccines been replaced with an increase in chronic diseases such as diabetes and asthma?...
The article goes on to note that animal studies indicate that an absence of contact with naturally occurring viruses increases the risk of diabetes and that research in humans suggest that some childhood infections may prime a person's immune system to fight off asthma....

And drawing an analogy with teen warehouse facilities. I think these facilities come from the same faulty thinking- that you can prevent undesirable 'diseases' with austere and invasive methods- and could be likened to immunizations. Never mind the undesirable side-effects.

While viewed as a prevention for disease, vaccines can and do cause chronic problems, autism, weakened immune systems, and even death.
While programs are considered the prevention against risky behavior, the fact is- they interfere with normal thought, development, and maturation (living and learning). And too often result in a worse condition- ptsd or death.

Bumps and bruises and diseases and mistakes are all part of living and growing and learning- real 'immunity'. Life is messy. And scares the shit out of program advocates who are hell-bent on interrupting the process.... as if they can control nature and experience no backlash.
