Most of the comments aren't true, except about him being a dope fiend, which he loved to talk about in front of the house, with some kids as young as 12. He claimed to have a habit of at least $500, and back in the 1970s, when things were cheaper and dope was better. His family had to have been rich or he would have sought help long before his habit got that expensive. Even if his family wasn't rich, I do not want to know what he did to support that kind of a habit, because supporting a $40 to $50 a day habit was hard enough for most of my friends. He claims to have done time, so he probably robbed a lot of people.

When I was at elan Marc literally bragged about his dope habit, then he left for a few months and came back all stung out, even skinnier, sunken eyes and nodding off in groups, which before he left, he would call GM's on kids for nodding off.  It was obvious he did dope at elan.

I was at Elan when Marec left and came back twice, claiming to go to Arizona, most likely to rehab. A couple times, I saw that he was high, but I didn't  want the staff at Elan to know that I used to do dope, so I kept my mouth shut.

Since Elan did such a good job helping troubled teens, I'm sure there are some people out there who use and/or sell dope. Why don't you guys find out where he lives and sell him a hot shot?

Boy you guys are real original.....come on...give the guy a break! If you think that he ruined your life, and that is why you choose to degrade the man, then open your eyes....you ruined your own life. Marc was a kind, passionate person who yes, HAD problems of his own. He took the opportunity that Elan once gave him and used it to better his life and the lives of others.
If you speak about Marc without having known him well, you just sound ignorant. Marc had a tough shell, but those of us who knew and loved him, knew a different side than the side you ingrates portray.

i agree with chrysta, Marc was one of the most amazing people i ever met. punk asses who talk shit about him will never know how hard it was too stand in his shoes for a minute, or how much strength of character it took him just to get out of bed every morning and face another day. dont talk shit about Marc.
