If Elan was a good place and helped people, no one would try to run away. If everyone who went their like me watched closely on the car ride in, then they would know that running away was stupid. So why did children still try to run away from Elan?

Why do people try to run away from jail?
When I was a teenager, given no one who went to Elan had a perfect relationship, If Elan was good and helpfull I would have been glad to have been there. I would have been out on my own doing my thing, and getting a break from my parents.

The truth is children ran away or tried to run away from Elan for two reasons. One, anyone in their right mind would try to run away from Elan at any age, even adults in their 50's. Two, when you realize how short life is, and how long time itself seems in Elan, then you decide you'd rather try to do something more constructive with your time , than washing the floor.

Speaking of washing the floor with your hands. Couldn't that lead to disease, infection, and worst of all bad knees later in life. I rather enjoyed scrubbing in front of the front door, where everyone walks in the door with God knows what on their shoes. I also seemed to have this love of using a sponge to clean other people's cum off of the shower curtains and urine of the toilet seats. And, finally to top it off going right to dinner without being allowed to wash my hands.

Speaking of cum on the shower curtiains, how'd that nasty funk get there. I think its because I was made to live amongst sexually dysfuntional people and the horniest bunch of teenagers you have ever met.
What you mean no sex!
Ok let me get this straight, your going to put me in a small house with tons of girls, who i see everyday, and not expect me to be the least bit turned on or interested. You must be joking I have the raging horomones of a young man. And you scratched your heads when you found two residents having sex. Just what do you think happens when you try to repress the sexual urges that are completely natural in normal humans?

So, I have to stay up all night watching people and smelling shoes. And, then the next day you won't let me sleep, and the next day as well. Why do i have to then wash the floors when i fall asleep watching on the third night. Maybe a little research into sleep depravation is in order.

Ok, hold on....you want me to do what scream at my friends, you must be joking, can i try what your smoking please. I yell at people now and its a disorderly persons offence, a public nusiance or even terroristics threats. But, thats how you taught me to channel my anger and deal with my peers and my relationships. For thousands of years even mentally retarded people know that talking out your problems with others is the best way to resolve problems.

I have to do what....stand outside in three feet of snow, with temperatures just above zero. All that so you can watch me engage in competitions of games that are supposed to be played in the summer. You tell me this will put me through changes, the only changes in me are my blood going from a liquid to a solid, absolute unconditional child abuse. If parents left their children out in the cold with out proper clothing intentionally, thats child abuse. Concept= without law.

Standing or sitting, staring at the corner of a room for hours, days and months WILL drive anyone insane. It dosen't have to be someone in Elan.

Telling me I'm a worthless piece of sh*t will not help me or make me feel better. In fact, that wouldn't do anyone any good at all.

Telling my friends and peers not to like me and not to talk to me contradicts pyschological standards for normal homosapian comunication. And, it escapes you why I am having trouble getting along with my house mates.

If you don't like what i say or do, you tie me to a chair.

If you really don't like what i say or do you tie me to a chair and then have 50 people yell and spit in my face.

And then you tell me if I don't finish your program I am a waste of a human being and i will never amount to anything.

When did scrubbing a floor, washing a shower or not being allowed to have sex as a teenager become "child Abuse"?  Granted, Elan had problems and I do believe that some abuse did happen but this is insane and you are making us all look just as crazy.

However, it is abuse and there is no doubt in my mind your another one of these propaganda,dis-information specialists. YOur mission: to stop decent people from closing down a child abuse center.

Ok so I can see where your both coming from that was my point in the last post I made PEOPLE STAY ON TRACK HERE we need to stick together not fight. Views will differ so lets try to respect all of them as hard as that might seem. We are here to get something done not debate elan and its concept.

scrubbibg floors  not child abuse, but how bout a dumptser , with a toothbrush??in the winter,,,,, in shorts? not being allowed to have sex isnt wrong,, but how bout, fuck you u bitch, cause your hot and i have feelings for you??i tried not yelling at  someone in group, they shot me down.responsibility for your actions is not a bad thing,what about  phsically keping a  a childs face pressed onto a corner,  with the understanding that if his  face isnt in corner, your ass is next?actually, concept can be a  wonderful tool, only in elans case it has been twisted to fill the sick needs of the  powers that be,,    tell me alice dunn, did you ever really feal better bout yourself after comin out sick on men?,, or better yet,,,, did jeffry ever feel in control of his  own life, after squeezing every last bit of self esteem outa people,,, anyone who was there  ,, before the supposed facelift,, knows in there soul exactly what it was about,,,parents or states sending large sums of $$ to junkies, to perpetuate there own little reality that they could fix people,,, but if confronted with any real mental problems, the answer was always just beat on em till they act differant,,

Well I found your post very interesting why was sex such an issue at elan? Sure for some it was thier fix or whatever but the rest of us were just normal teens not allowed to act as such... Now Ima gonna go pretty far back dont know how many fo you remember coping to you guilt but heres a good question(ok old timers) if you had eyes for someone what in gods name was the point in coping to it? Its not like you were doing them what a concept...

I was in elan i think 3 days before my first group.Clueless as to whats going on,this hottie starts in with the fuck you, because i have eyes for you.I takes me a little while to grasp what she was talking about,  but after she screams" i want to run naked down a beach with you", i sat there for a sec or 20, then said ok,  no reason to yell lets talk later.WHAMM, shotdown  with  alot of chicks screaming at me, spitting on me.
Of course  any  program for teens cant allow sex. But thats not the right approach. i feel sorry for any female that went there,and i hope  the degradation left no permanment scars

If you were a woman in Alice "The Hun" Dunn's house in my day.
You were a pig,a pig dog,a slut,whore ect. This was the worst staffperson I ever experienced in all my time.Not just corrupt(doing drugs in the parking lot) .. but the abuse she dished out, certainly lives in the minds of many...
