Sad thing about it is most of these protesters don't know who Dick Cheney is , don't know where Iraq is, don't know where  Afghanistan is, do not know who the Taliban are. These guys are a bunch of idiots out of tune with current events and can't even define the differences betweeen Rep or Dems. Ask them what brach of office John Kerry serves in most of them won't have a cluse what you are asking.
Further more ask what two people are running for President who are their running mates and what are their main issues they are running on and I'll bet they can't answer one of those questions. Same Morons that show up at WTO conferences....

Rosario Dawson Arrested

Actress Rosario Dawson was arrested in New York City on Sunday afternoon while filming during a political rally. The Men In Black 2 star was shooting scenes for new film This Revolution during a demonstration against President George W Bush, when she and two filmmakers were arrested. Dawson is now being charged on two counts of disorderly conduct and one count of second degree obstruction of government administration. The actress and her two crew members were released hours later. They have been ordered to appear in Manhattan Criminal Court, New York, on November 9.

Deb I am all for protesting and speaking out against things you do not beleive in or agree with. The point I am trying to make is that at least know what you are protesting about or stay the fuck home....or maybe even a better idea go find a dam JOB. Stereo type well I don't think I would call it that but alot of these idiots are nothing more than a bunch of anarchist punks that get out of hand, they don't feel they can get their point across unless they are damaging property or acting like fools. Good friend of mine is  New York Cop sopke with him last night. he has been working the baracades all week, told me a lot of interesting stories, in his opinion  he told me about 10% of the idiots out there are legit protestors with something of substance to say, the rest are out to disrupt anyhitng they can. Guess they are looking for attention because they didn't get enough from mommy most of them have no political affiliation or even vote let alone know what the hell is going on in the world. Thats just what i hear from a friend who is there and has put up with these people all week.

Patriot I couldnt disagree with you more.  There are plenty of rowdy people out there protesting, but look at the sheer numbers.  Then see the 4 people arrested on fox and how they try to blow it out of proportion.  Mainly due to the fact that the Neo Con party has to much controll over the medias. CNN had the best coverage of the 100 thousand strong protesters.  How many were at the dnc? not even 10 thousand.  The numbers speak for them selves.  I have a few friends there protestingand have since it began.  And there aren't as many idiot as the media wants you to think.  I know that most that are protesting do know who Cheney is and Carl Rove.

I lived in Eugene OR anarchist capital and the large majority there now arent even close to anarchist.
so if 10 percent of 100 thousand was legit protesters and 90 percent of 100 thousand
(90 thousand) was people acting out burning and looting, i think it would be a war zone. I know we would know about it. To much Faux news rots the brain. I think your friends stats are a little wrong.

PORTLAND TO PAY FOR COPS' ACTIONS
 
 The city of Portland has settled with 12 people who were subject to police "excessive force" during a protest of President Bush's visit to that city in 2002 and/or two anti-war marches in 2003.  Portland will be paying out $300,000.  A federal judge spent at least five months mediating the claims, and the City Council is set to approve the settlement at its meeting Wednesday. The city attorney's office has recommended a settlement to avoid the risk of a large jury award, according to an ordinance before the council.
 
 In the two lawsuits, the plaintiffs argued that the city, Mayor Vera Katz, then-police Chief Mark Kroeker and several officers violated their rights to free speech and free assembly by dousing them with pepper spray at close range and firing rubber stingballs into a crowd. Those who brought the suits used videotaped footage to
support the claims. Alan Graf, one of the Portland lawyers who represented the plaintiffs, said the videotaped footage could not be disputed. "The videos really told the story. The city said one thing, and the video said another thing. . . . We had pictures of babies getting pepper-sprayed, and if you put (those pictures) in front of a jury, there's no telling what would happen." Another tape showed two officers repeatedly spraying a young woman directly in
the face while she's wedged between a no-parking sign and a newspaper box. Still others show police leaning on the back of the heads of protesters who are lying on the ground in handcuffs.
 
 "We hope that getting a settlement of this size will send a message and result in some more accountability than the police have had to date," said Liz Joffe, one of the lawyers representing the group. "If they continue to attack peaceful protesters and use excessive force to suppress free speech activity, we'll come back again and again until the city recognizes it's too expensive and makes needed reforms." I love how out Patriot can be so presumptious to assume that the ppl protesting don't know what they're protesting and are that out of touch.  Gimme a break.  Just a convenient way to easily dismiss the fact that Americans are Pissed Off at what is happening in this nation.  

Even when the people protest, we have people like Mr. Patriot who simply dismiss them as idiots.  That's probably exactly what Bush does.  That is why this country is boiling.  The Government of the "PEOPLE" has turned into the government of the "WEALTHY COORPORATE CHRISTIAN COALITION OF CORRUPTION" and you have the audacity to casually dismiss the protesters as "idiots"    

You are a constant source of inspiration and enlightenment.  Reading your posts gives me much needed insight into a mindset of Americans that I really try to understand.  I mean the Christian Right...I get it, they're friggin sheep ready to be led to the slaughter.  You however I think represent something far more sinister and dangerous to America.

Yes I dismiss most of them as idiots, I attended one of the protests in Chicago at the request of a good friend who is a Chicago Police officer. He wanted me to see first hand what kind of LOSERS show up to these things , and he was right. Most of them did not even have a clue as to what they were protesting about. Most of the morons that show up to participate in these so called protests are self proclaimed anarchists with nothing else better to do. God forbid they get a JOB! Half of these idiots could not even name the Sec. of State, Defense, Commerce, National security advisor , Vice Prs. etc. Hey they can do what they wish, but most of us have better things to do like work and be productive. For some reason some people on this board have a problem with work and bettering ones self. Bitch , Bitch , Bitch. I can certainly agree to disagree with you without name calling.  I do wonder though, how informed you are, and where you get your information?  

I spend considerable time checking out both sides of the propaganda.  In fact, I just got booted from the "freerepublic" blog for voicing my opinions.  Typical of the Bush followers.  They couldn't stand to have the oposing view out there for everyone to read.

I believe that things are headed in a disasterous direction for this country.  I am active in changing that.  I feel that Americans are truly good people, and want to be Proud.  It is hard to criticize your leadership, when you are a Proud American.  Yet, I think if you'll look at both sides from a realistic, not fanatical view...you cannot help but realize that we are losing our American Values.  They are standing on a platform of "morality" based on Some idealogical Christian high ground that has nothing to do with the teachings of Jesus Christ.  

They are controlling the media, BTW, if you watch closely, you will note that CNN is becoming more FOX like.  That has to do with the fact that Malone is now the secong highest share holder of the Murdoch FOX empire.  There is a merger in the future between FOX and CNN.  Murdogch is 78 years old now, his three sons can't possibly compete with Malone, the other mogul.  The people are bieng mislead, and they follow, like good little sheep.  It is time for America to take this country back from the Coorporate corruption that owns damn near EVERYTHING!!!
