Just to clarify the policy here, Nobody is your moderator. Nobody is going to censor whatever you want to say. By the same token, Nobody is going to protect you if you cross a line you maybe didn't intend. If you say needlessly hurtful things or disclose information that harms someone, guess who's going to protect you? You got it, your dedicated moderator, NOBODY!
In other words, don't confuse advice for hard demands. I agree w/ SOS and friends. I just don't see how any good can come from chopping each other up like this. That's my opinion. I'm not going to try and prevent it by brute force. And I'm not going to try to convince you that you have to or are obliged to do anything other than what you're doing.
Instead, I'm just saying, as a friend or maybe just as a fellow traveler on this planet, that I think you may one day regret these rash words for a variety of reasons. And, as a matronly old woman who's old enough to be your mama but who is, in fact, not your mama, I hope you'll give it some thought.
Legalizing drugs would simultaneously reduce the amount of crime and raise the quality of law enforcement. Can you conceive of any other measure that would accomplish so much to promote law and order?
