I have my own copy.  Wife ordered it.  The movie sucks big time.  The story is FOS and the acting is terrible.  I never was able to watch more than 5 minutes bits and pieces of the movie.

I actually saw that movie BEFORE I went into Straight in health class in the 8'th grade. I had totally forgotten about it until I was in there and then it hit me in group one day that this was the same place as the movie. I guess the history is that it is based on Miller Newton's kid and his story since he wrote the book.

Not my kid....yeach...

I think traffic was a fantastic movie comparatively speaking.  When Mike Douglas walks out of his "drug czar" press conference after digging his cute white daughter out of the ghetto dealers house and openly questions " how do you fight a war against your own family". He doesn't answer with "beat her, imprison her...", he simply gives up a CABINET LEVEL job and decides HE can't DO anything more than take care of his home.  Gutsy character.

Not my kid was another Newton self-agrandization (enriching too,$$)trip.  I have wondered how Mark and his Dad get along today.  Has anybody heard anything.  Last I saw was at him and Lee(or was it Tracey) A.'s wedding, then I heard they divorced.  How would it feel to have Newton as a DAD?  How about a movie of THAT....
