Lament for Alex's doo
« on: April 12, 2004, 01:58:00 PM »
all puffy on top
and flat in the back
my only recourse
is to slap on a hat

the styling I got last week
is nonexistent today
and no amount of hair gel
will make this mess stay

even tying it back
won't do the trick
I'm going out of my mind
and it's making me sick

with bangs that flip out
all frizzy and fly-away
when flat they should be
yeah, it's a bad hair day
 :nworthy:  :nworthy:  :nworthy:

It will be generally found that those who sneer habitually at human nature and affect to despise it, are among its worst and least pleasant examples

--Charles Dickens

There must be some kind of mutating virus going around.  Is everyone going to start posting song lyrics now?  Why dont' we set up a thread dedicated to lyrics only then you guys can go at it all you want.

Lament for my hair
Sore & crucified
I seek to know you
acquiring soulful wisdom
you can open walls of
mystery
strip-show

How to get death
On the morning
show

T.V. death
which the child absorbs

death-well
mystery
which makes
me write

Slow train
The death of my hair
gives life

Guitar player
Ancient wise satyr
Sing your ode
to my hair
caress its lament
stiffen & guide
us

Lost cells
The knowledge of cancer
To speak to the heart
& give the great gift
words

power

trance

This stable friend
& the beasts of his zoo
wild, haired chicks
each color connects
to create the boat
which rocks the race

could any hell be more
horrible than now
& real

"I pressed her thigh
& death smiled"

death, old friend
death & my hair
are the world

I can forgive
my injuries
in the name of
wisdom

luxury

romance

Sentence upon sentence.
Words are healing.

Words got me the wound
& will get me well

If you believe it.

All join now in lament
for the death of my hair
a tongue of knowledge
in the feathered night

boys get crazy in the head
& suffer
I sacrifice my hair
on the altar
of silence

There is not a "fragment" in all nature, for every relative fragment of one thing is a full harmonious unit in itself.
-- John Muir

She asks me why, I'm just a hairy guy.
I'm hairy noon and night, hair that's a fright.
I'm hairy high and low, don't ask me why, don't know.
It's not for lack of bread, like the Greadful Dead.
Darlin'

Give me a head with hair, long beautiful hair.
Shining, gleaming, streaming, flaxen, waxen.
Give me down to there hair, shoulder lenght or longer
Here baby, there, momma, ev'rywhere, daddy, daddy.

hair, hair, hair, hair, hair
Hair, hair, hair.Flow it, show it,long as God can grow it, my hair.

Wherever the standard of freedom and Independence has been or shall be unfurled, there will [America's] heart, her benedictions and her prayers be. But she goes not abroad, in search of monsters to destroy. She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all. She is the champion and vindicator only of her own.

--John Quincy Adams, Speech to the U.S. House of Representatives [July 4, 1821]

let it fly in the breeze
and get caught in the trees
give a home fo the fleas in my hair

a home for the fleas
a hive for the buzzin's bees
a nest for the birds
there ain't no words
for the beauty
the wonder
the splendor of my HAIR

Grow it, show it
long as I can grow it my hair

Oh say can you see?
My eyes, if you can
then my hair's too short

This has to do with Alex's hair where have you been in a Box...you idiot

Samson, the strength
That's in, your arms
Oh to be, your stunning
Bride

Samson, your hair
Glistening, like sun
Oh would, that it
Were mine

Samson, your hair
That's in, my hands
I'll keep it safe
You're mine, you're mine

He said wait, said wait
Delilah my babe, Delilah my babe
Said wait, said wait
Delilah my babe, Delilah my babe

Said wait, said wait
Delilah my babe
You lied in my face
You cut off my hair
You lied in my bed

Samson, your stay
With your 'lilah
I'll hold you in
My hands
Yeah

Your hair
Restrain
My man
My man

He said wait, said wait
Delilah my babe, Delilah my babe
Said wait, said wait
Delilah my babe, Delilah my babe

He said wait, said wait
Delilah my babe, Delilah my babe

Said wait, said wait
Delilah my babe
You lied in my face
You cut off my hair
You lied in my bed

When he [Califano] claims that the voters of Arizona and California did not know what they were voting for when they supported the two initiatives, he reminds me of the way Serbia's President Slobodan Milosevic reacted to recent election results in that country.
