Before I continue, let me preface my inquiry with the assertion that I love pot smokers. They are much easier to deal with than drunks, and I can think of many people who would benefit from this daily elixir. Such as my boss. But I digress.

What I want to know is what's so fucking great about pot?  Every time I've smoked it, I just get raspy throated and sleepy.

What am I missing? Am I doing it wrong?

Every time I try it, I keep hoping for a glorious wave of groovy relaxation that over takes my whole being like one big hazy lazy mellow yellow smile.

It never happens.
