Blindfolds???
« on: December 24, 2003, 01:11:00 PM »
The other day I was listening to a women who had friends go into the SEED when she was in high school.  She mentioned that they put blindfolds on the people to transfer them from host home to the building, is this really the case?

I had heard that before I went into Straight.  A kid down the block from us went to the Seed.  He said that he was blindfolded.  don't know anything beyond that.

I believe that human beings arrive on this Earth wanting to know absolutely everything, and the best thing we can do as parents is to get out of the way -- just be there to let them know what opportunities are there

Ya' know? I'm not sure. Wouldn't put it past them, though.

If it is believed that... elementary schools will be better managed by the governor and council, the commissioners of the literary fund or any other general authority of the government than by the parents within each ward, it is a belief against all experience.

That wasn't my experience, but I have heard tale of this before.  In any event, they might as well have as we weren't allowed to look anywhere out of the car or vehicle.

Among the many misdeeds of British rule in India, history will look upon the Act depriving a whole nation of arms as the blackest.

I was blindfolded from on the trips to/from the Seed to the host house. They didn't tie it really tight so I know where I was  - I could see by looking down the psace beteen the cloth and my nose.  the house was in Tamarac, FL  close to the Ford Dealerhsip where my parents bought a Ford Maverick a couple of years before.  Now I remember, it was in the Tam O'Shanter village.. and some Staff member who drove a saucy blue camaro with those silver hubcaps named Debbie was the older sister of the house.  Her younger sister was the person who had me under lock and key...I forgot about that blindfold bullshit.

The person who stands up and says, ``This is stupid,\'\' either is asked to `behave\' or, worse, is greeted with a cheerful ``Yes, we know! Isn\'t it terrific ?\'\' -- Frank Zappa
