Building on over 10 years of experience providing young adults with transition to independent living experience and support, Sean Fievet and a team of passionate, skilled professionals have launched a new program in Bend, Oregon: Cascade Crest Transitions.

Cascade Crest Transitions (CCT) is a residential program that works with young adults, aged 18-25, who have struggled to effectively transition into adulthood. These difficulties are related to drug and alcohol using behaviors, mood disorders, learning issues and motivation issues. CCT is located in beautiful Bend, Oregon with facilities that are walking distance to Central Oregon Community College and OSU Cascades Campus. Here students can access all the riches of Central Oregon including skiing/snowboarding at Mt. Bachelor, world-class rock climbing at Smith Rock, hiking, biking, golfing, rafting and fishing in the Deschutes River and pristine Cascade Lakes.

CCT students are introduced to and practice healthy living habits in all dimensions of their life (physical, social, mental) and learn emotional coping skills, rooted in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) philosophy and practice. Although a new program, the Cascade Crest team of professionals-- Therapist Nancy Lode, MA, LPC, CADC II, Academic Director Alice Huskey, MA, Therapist Marcus Biancucci, MA, Academic Instructor Jensine Lirette, Case Manager Gregg Andrick and Residential Coach Lindsey Hurvitz -- has a proven track record of assisting young adults as they move forward toward successful adulthood.

Sean Fievet shared, "With the creation of Cascade Crest Transitions, you have the combination of two essential components: the recreational and academic opportunities of Bend, Oregon paired with a highly competent staff who are experienced in providing the structure and clinical support necessary for a challenging age-group to create a foundation for success."

Cascade Crest provides the highest quality therapeutic program that includes recovery, academic, independent living and mental health support. CCT also offers family support through Next Step for Success, a parent coaching program that assists parents and families in becoming a productive part of the treatment process along with monthly parent Tele-classes, Parent Retreat and facilitates Family Therapy.

Cascade Crest Transitions offers professional, trained staff who employ therapeutic techniques that are research proven and whose efficacy has been demonstrated repeatedly including: Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as Developed for the Treatment of Trauma. Teaching staff are licensed educators in the State of Oregon. CCT's Mission is to facilitate a transition to healthy independence by empowering young adults and their families to work with their learning struggles and self-defeating behaviors in a manner that supports personal responsibility and healthy interdependence so that young adults can achieve their educational and life goals.

Next Step for Success is yet another CEDU-influenced enterprise. It was founded by Bill and Penelope Valentine, perhaps along with another person or two that I can't think of at the moment...

Fwiw, Next Step for Success also works with Benchmark and Academy at Sisters.
