I have no malice twards anyone here or any other site. I'm not looking for a fight. I was sincere when I asked of your AA history. I'm simply curious  If that keeps you sober to this day. Iv'e done more than my share of drugs,But Iv'e never had  the desire for drink. Simply watching drunk people kinda' ruins it for me. I know I'm gonna' take some heat for this but  whatever keeps you from wanting a drink, can't be all bad.

There are a few here who are internet shouting.  It wasn't you none-ya, but it might be of some use to let you know that what you said in the one or two posts prior did come across as snide from the POV of an observer, not a participant in the conversation.

I am a Wayne K follower.  Met him on the discussions that would return on AbsoluteWrite.  I just got too curious.  I was absolutely stunned when I found the website listing so many questionable programs over the years.

I got sober in AA in 1987 I was 28  at the time stayed till I was 45yrs going on a weekly bases. From that point I very quickly stopped going all together. I found their message to be fear based and their religious believes to much for me. I guess I had always felt this way but was to scared to make a move for fear I would loose friends and possibly my life. I soon found out neither was true.
I still do consider myself a non-active member because I will help anyone if they want to get sober through AA. I just don't tell them they have to go the rest of their life nor do I tell them they will die if they don't.
I have not had a drink or drug since 1987, for that my community and family appreciates... :D

No, but I did experience institutional abuse (public school) when Asperger's was not a widely recognised neurodevelopmental disorder.  I do have experience with locked cubicles, having to stay in them 8 hours at a time, 5 days a week and be neglected during fire drills while in these cubicles.  I do understand that terror.

None-ya, see also Xelebes' thread 'Sorry for rubbernecking' in the OFFA forum...

On another note, there are some who would not classify Asperger's as a "disorder" per se...
