Dsfunction, you must realize Whooter is an internet troll. It's fairly obvious to anyone who spends any amount of time here. Whooter's shtick is to say things that are meant to be offensive, or absurd, to people who hold negative views on programs. Why does he do this? Why does any internet troll, troll? Nobody really knows, perhaps he thinks it's funny, but the truth is it doesn't really matter. Internet trolls are an organic part of any internet discussion. The problem with fornits is, the troll spends almost every single day posting, day and night, which causes frustration and anger.
If you look at this situation then, from a troll's perspective. He has won. He has many of you wrapped around his little finger, and all he has to do is make a post and you go crazy and respond to his every absurd post.
Now, let's get real here for a moment. You and Whooter both claim you are here arguing over programs, "for the parents" or "for the readers", but don't fool yourselves. Parents do not wade through pages of crap, pages and pages of flamewars and online ego battles don't convince anybody. These types of interactions exist for one reason, and that is for the people engaged in them. Perhaps they are angry, frustrated, or bored. Guessing somebody's motivations is impossible, so it's not worth trying. But it does make me wonder why people obsess over Whooter, a standard internet troll, for years on end. To me that is more confusing than a simple troll, is the people who know it's a troll, and yet, they still obsess over it.
Dysfunction, you are clearly very angry with Whooter. It's a week before Christmas and here you are, yet again, another day, arguing with Whooter, a person you really know nothing about. How old is Whooter? Did they really have a child in the program? You will never know the answers to these questions. So in the end, you fill yourself with hatred for an unknown entity. You don't hate Whooter, you hate the representation of Whooter which you have created in your own mind. Perhaps you need this outlet. Obviously you must have given this some thought. You could be doing a million other things, much more constructive, than wasting your time arguing on fornits with an internet troll. Yet, here you are.
The only way to beat an internet troll is to ignore them. That's it. Whooter wants you to get angry at what he says, and respond. He wants you to obsess over him, and create thread after thread calling Whooter names and insulting him. He is laughing behind his keyboard at how easily he can push your buttons, I'm sure. That's what trolls do. You aren't going to "win". I know that must be devastating to your ego, but the only person who wins in an argument with a troll, is the troll.
Now, as far as the survivors here. What do you think they make of an ex program employee arguing all day, every day, with a supposed program parent? To me it seems silly, a waste of time, and more than anything, a subtle showing that the people engaged in such behavior have needs. I don't know what your needs are. Whooter needs something, otherwise he wouldn't spend all day, almost every day clicking the refresh button here. You obviously need something, or else you would do as almost all sane people do, and ignore internet trolls. Yet here you both are, day after day. I feel sorry for you both, I really do. if you want to prove to yourself and the other people on this forum you are "better" than Whooter, then ignore him, completely. Don't respond to another one of his posts, ever. Don't refer to his username. To you, he is an irrelevant internet troll, whose only purpose is to push people's buttons. If you do this, then you truly win.
As it is now, you both lose. I hope you both receive whatever it is you need, soon. Fornits can't fill that hole forever.
Happy Holidays Fornits!
