We all looked like shit. I don't know about you, but if you broke it down, an outsider would swear that we were powerless over lipstick, and that was our gateway into harder stuff... for the girls anyway... for the guys it was probably upturned collars, and spiky hair.
Another thing: Why were guys allowed to shave and girls weren't?
Christ, (I don't know if things changed when you were there), but, the
stupidest "rule" I ever heard was that we were not allowed to use "Buf Puffs"... the abrasive, wash cloth alternative exfoliators that would take the shit out of your pores so that they could breathe and prevent pimples. Buf-Puffs were considered
"cosmetic".
I know I always came out looking like a streetwalker after using a Buf-Puff... how 'bout you?
