Doggie Orthopedic Surgery
« on: July 03, 2010, 01:47:18 PM »
Anyone here ever have to have their pooch's ACL/MCL/meniscus repaired surgically?  If so, can you tell me how the convalescence and rehab went?

I guess our poor little girl (she's only three) will be rehabbing/recovering for 6-8 weeks from a torn ACL and whatever else they find blown out when they open it up.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I had a gorden setter's elbow repaired - and two different cat's knees done. In each case the first couple of days they seemed uncomfortable but they recovered quickly. The challenge soon became keeping them "quite" during recovery.
