A WORD TO THE WISE

There is a cancer growing within this small but tightly woven group of PURE supporters. You can't see it but it's there silently (and very aggressively) eating away at what little shred of credibility this group has left.

To those who believe they are fighting the "good fight", put down your arms for a minute and take a good look around.

The enemy is YOU.

Yes, it appears this group and their self-serving agenda has done more harm than good as evident by the growing dissent within their own ranks.  Who can blame them for not wanting to get further hurt when this house-of-cards finally collapses?

Anonymous:
What you WWASP people don't get is that most people on this board do not give a shit about PURE.  Some find the fact that they refer kids to other programs problematic; others say the work they are doing against WWASP outweighs that potential harm.

But most don't care either way.

They want to shut down WWASP and don't care who their allies are.  the enemy of my enemy is my friend, essentially.

When I take a look around, this is what I see:

WWASP's treatment of children is abusive.
The fact that PURE might be acting from purely selfish motives does not negate that fact.
Any means to that end, WWASP's closure, is "good".

PURE is in the business of refering parents to  non-WWASP facilities for a fee.
Unfortunately, to date, that is not illegal.
Some or all of those facilities, may be equally, but covertly, as abusive.
Every facility is abusive if one considers being held against one's will without a court order, having contact with family severed, and isolated from the world to be abusive.

I personally have seen little, if any, intregrity exhibited by anyone associated with this industry.
They're all out to make a buck off desperate parents with "at-risk" teens.
Very difficult to be objective, there is an inherent conflict of interest when one's livlihood is dependent on placements.

If PURE is operating unethically, that should be addressed-given the nature of the industry, its very likely.
Proof of that would not, by any stretch of the imagination, prove that their claims against WWASP's abusiveness and fraudulent practices are invalid.

I certainly hope these two issues do not get confused.

So right or wrong is not an issue for you?  What you are saying is that you will just hook up with anyone who agrees with you?  What you are saying is that it does not matter to you, if they too, are doing something that is wrong.  All that you require is that they agree with you, even if they are doing what you don't agree with?
