Get them while there hot folks. Just in time for "I shura like public masochism" festivals
uhhhhhhhhh wait - that's their own blood....hmmm- Wow, those are some fucking sharp rubber swords.

Unfortunately, I'm more realist than I am optimist. Hence, I'm an armagedonnist. I think fundamentalists will get their hands on a dirty bomb before we collectively come to our senses and quit killing each other in the name of god.
I found plenty of merit in Obama's inagural speech however the armagedonnist in me is disappointed by some of his statements.
"We will not apologize for our way of life".
So we're putting it all on red and hoping technology will solve our unsustainable lifestyle? (five per cent of the world's population - using 23 per cent of its energy. Our christian god is the only 'real' god).
and for those who seek to advance their aims by inducing terror and slaughtering innocents, we say to you now that our spirit is stronger and cannot be broken; you cannot outlast us, and we will defeat you.Really? You want to lock horns with people that cover their one year old children in fake blood and mutilate themselves with knives to celebrate a mythical 6th century figure?
For we know that our patchwork heritage is a strength, not a weakness. We are a nation of Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus -- and nonbelievers.
Thanks for the window dressing but when it comes to brass tacks we are a Christian nation.
To the Muslim world, we seek a new way forward, based on mutual interest and mutual respect. To those leaders around the globe who seek to sow conflict, or blame their society's ills on the West: Know that your people will judge you on what you can build, not what you destroy. Well played. After the next attack we can reference this diplomatic effort to justify our next unilateral military campaign.
To those who cling to power through corruption and deceit and the silencing of dissent, know that you are on the wrong side of history; but that we will extend a hand if you are willing to unclench your fist.
As I said, I'm an optimist, but for fuck's sake - 'wrong side of history'? if history has taught us anything it's that we are cave men whose overwhelming fear of death has rendered us hyper-consumptive babbling idiots. We're driven by our fascination with prophecies, that are provided by invisible anthrophomorphic beings to the 'chosen few' . Above all we've proven to ourselves we simply can not resist pillaging the village over the next hill in the name of 'the almighty invisible power'.
What we're on the wrong side of is this fairy tale we call religion. The only real hope for 'world peace' will begin with a collective understanding and agreement to indefinitely separate and suspend all forms of religious doctrine when it comes to determining how we're all going to play fair in the big sandbox.
