Dumb video on Pathway's website
« on: November 12, 2008, 02:10:16 PM »
Hahaha, if you go to the Pathway Family Center website, there's this idiotic 30-second ad for their program.

Apparently they just added this. Anyone else seen this yet? It's on the right-hand side, just under that goofy picture they've had up for ages.

Don't the people in that ad look familiar?

Never mind, folks. They've already replaced it with a goofy 4-minute video that makes even less sense.

Incidentally, I sure hope they paid the proper fees to use that copyrighted song.

It was pointed out to me recently that a drug addiction can easily be replaced with a "recovery" addiction. Also, if you are not addicted to anything, being entered into Pathway will force you into a dependence on the program and most probably an addiction to their "recovery" concept. Once out of the program, many will be ostracized and go through deprogramming and eventually experience the resulting damage done to their minds. Yet others will cling to the program's doctrine as if it were an addictive substance itself. Perhaps this is why Pathway program supporters are such zealots.

The video on the Pathway page seems very rhythmic and soothing, almost like a mantra in which a parent might be put into a safe-feeling trance. Borderline cult tactic.

Also, note the kids who have been shown in the video who have now been placed in the public eye as drug addicts. It is contradictory of their own confidentiality and anonymity rules.

Notice how the program attempts to connect images of babies with the teenagers. Is this a way to manipulate parents psychologically so that they might feel more in control of their teenager?

If they say they have served 2,124 kids and that they have an 82% success rate, I am wondering if that means "graduates" or everyone who has been entered. If they have this information, they should be able to provide investigators with everything necessary to conduct a thorough investigation as to the long term damage caused by this program.

The video explains nothing about how the program works or what it does. It is an empty distraction to draw attention away from all the negativity from those who have been hurt. They don't dare link to youtube anymore.
