I mentioned to you back in April he had leukemia.  It got the best of him unfortunately. :( He had chemo initially and was doing alright but then things got bad again just last week I think.

Man! I didn't know him all that well, but he had a lot to deal with and never seemed to lose his sense of humor or engagement.  I met him at the $tr8 memorial back when we had that.  He rolled up through the ol' gravel lot in his wheel-chair.  He had a hard time speaking, and could be difficult to understand, but that didn't keep him from offering his thoughts and opinions.  I respected him.  I remember him speakin at the memorial.  He was a hell-raiser, a strong spirit.  Sad that he's gone.
