Adam Thurrell is not above putting a name and a rumor together on the Internet, especially where his parents' employer is concerned (see the exchange below). Perhaps if you asked him politely for the truth about his father ...

)Hey Dan-
)
)My name is Adam Thurrell and I am a student at Hampshire College, located
)in Amherst, Massachusetts. I am writing a final thesis paper on Waldorf
)education and I have been to your website and read your stuff. It
)has been brought to my attention that you so fervently oppose Waldorf
)education that you visited a Waldorf school premesis, carrying a gun, and
)proceeded to threaten the teachers with assault with a deadly weapon if
)they continued with their daily tasks? If so, was this a private or
)public school? I am attempting to look at this picture from both sides of
)the equation, and anything you can tell me would be great. Thank you very
)much.

Dear Adam,
I've always said that I loom larger in my legend than in reality, but this
is a bit much. The last time that I recall touching a firearm was in U.S.
Army basic training in 1965. I'll cop to threatening the Waldorf movement -
with exposure to public view of their preposterous beliefs and incompetence
-- and publicly-funded Waldorf schools - with First Amendment lawsuits!
Please research the provenance of that story and report back to us.
Sincerely, Dan Dugan
