Giving the forum a musical booster-shot!
« on: December 10, 2007, 11:08:05 PM »
Time for some Grunge. This has made the radio a lot here lately in town, even though its like 12 years old. Enjoy.

I just felt it would be topical for a lot of people here... and hopefully liven shit up.

Lyrics are below the window.

Quote
Nothing seems to kill me no matter how hard I try
Nothing is closing my eyes
Nothing can beat me down for your pain or delight
And nothing seems to break me
No matter how hard I fall nothing can break me at all
Not one for giving up though not invincible I know

Ive given everything I need
Id give you everything I own
Id give in if it could at least be ours alone
Ive given everything I could
To blow it to hell and gone
Burrow down in and
Blow up the outside world

Someone tried to tell me something
Don't let the world get you down
Nothing will do me in before I do myself
So save it for your own and the ones you can help

Want to make it understood
Wanting though I never would
Trying though I know its wrong
Blowing it to hell and gone
Wishing though I never could
Blow up the outside world

I LOVE THAT SONG.

I need a banjo or w/e they played it on to just jam that randomly around town here. After MM did a cover of it everyone would flip over that song at class...

I heard of one guy sticking a bible in his fly halfway and walking up to really religious people and singing it... "REACH OUT AND TOUCH FAITH".

Love the idea of grunge music, and the idea of not selling out. A concept that is archaic and bizarre-like the Amish- today

There has always been music with an edge vs popular music, and it's usually 'ne'er the twain shall meet'. It does happen at times though, and that's when it gets interesting. Just my two cents.

Personally, I think this tune should be popped into the CD player and cranked up each time the program reps come out to confront the protesters at YLF demonstrations, but that may be just me...

I could be wrong, but I think this was actually from 1982 (description notes otherwise).  Lols, they look so young here.

"Music video from the band "Talk Talk", for the song "Talk Talk". 1983."[/i]
