Code for a proper embed will not show up in the post. Hit "quote reply" of whatever post you're interested in viewing to see the code written out longhand in the quoted text. Hit your back button to get back out of it. This is the way I learned how to post HTML img's! Always helpful to have a real-life example.
You probably don't want to put an embed in your sig. Otherwise any page you've ever posted multiple times on will have multiple versions of that embed going off, all at slightly different times. If it's a complicated embed, involving speech or song, it'll drive everyone bananas. It may also tax available memory resources a lot, and the page may take time to load for people who do not have robust internet connections.
