The useless threads get in the way of finding important info. The comments clog the threads with garbage. With an "Ignore" feature that would be alleviated.

A first time visitor might not feel the same way you do and miss valuable information that could help someone in trouble.

the trouble is with an "ignore" the anons button, you'd be missing the valuble info anyway. Also, the valuble info is interspersed with the garbage. It would be dificult to weed around it.

The only way to "clean up" the forum is to introduce rules and moderation and only a few really want that.
