Too true.

But... some faculty are not bad.  Some mean well, and try to make a positive difference.  Often they get sucked into the-CULT-that-is-Hyde the same way that many parents and students are.  Hyde's slick propaganda, and avowed ideals, are oft times difficult to see beyond.

Despite the fact that these faculty never stay all that long, I do think that Hyde values their contribution.  After all, it is hard for the public to see exactly where Hyde is coming from, with well-meaning folk occluding the view.

n case you\'re worried about what\'s going to become of the younger generation, it\'s going to grow up and start worrying about the younger generation.-Roger Allen

Hey it is better then that  Elijah Blue Allman who's uncle was Duane Allman.  Duane played with the greatest live rock band of all time Derek and the Dominoes :http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duane_Allman.  Elijah's Dad played with Duane in a band that was pretty good too.  Elijah's mom is the entity known as "Cher"

I seem to remember reading somewhere that Elijah and Cher weren't too happy with their Hyde experience, when all was said and done. Elijah was still well-ensconced in his initial indoctrination at the time Cher wrote the forward for Joe's book Character First; she was still kinda gung-ho at that time...

"There is no way you can be prepared for the experience of being a Hyde parent. Hyde parents have to work hard on their own growth in order to help their kids grow.... What I have gained from my experience at Hyde I wouldn't trade for anything in the world.... When (Elijah) graduates, he will take with him a rich set of values and skills that will guide him the rest of his life." And about Joe Gauld, Cher says "Joe Gauld is a rare individual. His perceptions about people are uncanny, and his vision of education is desperately needed in this country."

LOL, if you can call it that! Think that "vision of education" was more of a vision of how to make money and rationalize that you're doing some good while you're at it. But... he wasn't doing "some good," not in the long run!! (Though he does seem to be making the money, at least, haha).

People used to think they were doing "some good" by lobotomizing patients with "anti-social" tendencies, too... and that was a more similar scenario than one might initially think...
