Kelly,if you had the same amount of other knowledge as you do tech knowledge, then the world would be a better place.

Like I said and will say  to everyne is tell me when you get assaulted with a cane and three or whatever amount of security people do absolutely nothing to help you and all these black people are laughing as they immobilize you and take you off to the emergency room on a stretcher and you think yd out. ou might go unconscious.

I don't think that's racist but for whoever does, then I will say Well, I rather be racist than be subjected to psycological and physical abuse.

Michael first let me say, I believe being racist and prejudice are far different. My dad definitely racist. KKK sheet wearing type...feels black people are inferior because he was raised that way.

It appears as if you might be  prejudiced based on a traumatic experience in your life.

There is a huge difference between the 2.  I guess to assume someone is racist without any knowledge is just as bad something based on the color of one's skin.

I am curious though of 2 things.

1.  What if you could not have proven it was a hate crime, hypothetically, no proof just 3 black guys that did something violent and stupid. DO you believe you would feel different?

2.  What if they had been YOUR race, would you feel this way about your own race?

No one went through exactly what you did but you aren't alone.    I was the dumb white girl who used to hang out in south east dc at 16.    I've seen people get stabbed, I saw someone get shot once in the face, that memory is imprinted on my mind for life. The image will never go away.   I myself have been assaulted by someone black and someone white.  More than once but yet on a much smaller scale. It still made me abit intimidated around men (all men) for a period of time.    I had a very good black friend who is dead because of 2 other careless black guys who had guns and felt it was their right to kill.  Yet they don't t represent my dead black friend they represent 2 criminals who deserve to go to jail.

I can't say I would NOT have reacted the way you are I have no way of knowing that, but thankfully I already hated prejudice so much and had some very good friends who were not white, that it wasn't even a consideration the times i was assaulted. Or the times I witnessed some of these events.  It wasn't about color, it was about people treating each other like shit and no one really giving a fuck what color you were.  If some smart ass  black guy came up to the 3 guys who hurt you, talkin shit, do you think they'd let him slide cuz he was black? I doubt it, they sound like some angry fucked up individuals. and it sucks that you had to go through that.  They just don't represent millions of people.

You have the right to feel the way you do I wouldn't begin to say otherwise. I myself   feel lucky i was in the situation i was in.  I could  have otherwise  ended up with a different perspective.    So I don't think you're without reason, nor do I think you should get over it and move on.  I'm just  trying to throw out some perspective,  there are other options it may just be hard to see that right now.

I think you're a great guy and you've been through a lot of shit. I don't judge you for how you are reacting to a trauma in your life. But if you open up some conversation about it and allow me the chance I will try to  give you what little perspective I may have.

That's all I'm tryin to do now.  For what it's worth.  I think this is the first time i've even replied to a post of yours we've only emailed.  but it caught my attention  so I was curious to see where it was coming from and what was going on. I will say my initial comment was sarcastic, I tend to come off that way for a few different reasons in this case I honestly didn't now what your reaction would be and didn't want to just come off like i was telling you what you need to do. How could I possibly, only you really know that. But I do apologize that was  insensitive and you've always been very respectful towards me.

A black guy walks into a bar with a beautiful parrot on his shoulder. "Wow," says the bartender. "That is really something. Where'd you get it?"

"Africa," says the parrot.

BuzzKill must be right, prayer helps. I prayed that Kelly's next post post would make a little sense and it did.

Too bad it took so long.

Anyhow,if it wasn't a hate crime,I would not have had the same reaction. You see, for example,if someone robs you regardless of color, that is not pleasant but it is different than when someone says TAKE THIS HONKEY,ETC,while getting maimed with a cane. And all the blacks just laughed. They did it not for money, not for a material possession, but for the blood of a white person.

Nonetheless Kelly, I am gonna try to help you, I am gonna beg Ginger to create a forum dedicated to people helping you get a brain, I am gonna ask Buzzkill to pray for you, I am gonna ask Exhausted if The U.K is any better than America in dealing with your stupidity, and I am gonna ask Deborah to do research to see if she can come up with anyway to help you gain intelligence and common sense.

To answer your question, no I would not have acted the same way if it was white on white or also black on black,My situation was THAT IT WAS A HATE CRIME.

And you are right,IT WAS ME WHO GOT ASSAULTED,NOT YOU.

Although if it did happen to you,the damage would have been less because your head is so hard to get through, probably would have been  glancing blows to your head.
