Nice work Carey - I do think it's helpful to provide the public with the other side especially given that you were not able to defend yourself in court.

No transcripts of this trial?

How the hell is anyone supposed to appeal a case if there isn't an official record of the trial, the judge's rulings, etc?

Man, I am no lawyer but I seriously don't get that.

Hope things work out for you, Carey and you get the chance to be heard.

I know, it's bizzare that there are no transcripts from court.   It makes me speculate about what more she may be hiding.   It is that whole air of secrecy about this industry that bothers me.  It's what they don't disclose that makes them suspect.

Thanks for your kind words of support.

The listserv "trekkers" was misused. Most trekkers believed its purpose was to help save families and teens from being hurt by the unregulated "teen help" industry.

I don't think that everyone on the list was aware of the underlying fact that it was being controlled, so to speak, by PURE.

I think most trekkers had good intentions. I can't speak for B.K., but I would give him the benefit of the doubt knowing what we know today.

"Why not concentrate on people like Carey Brock who have such a mental problem that they are trying to defeat any good any one is doing for the kids? Do you believe that she didn't give info to WWASP? She did and that has hurt alot of kids. Do you condone that? If you are really a survivor, you will help others, not help someone as nuts as Carey."

Ironic twist: Carey Bock sells out to WWASPS

"The ironic twist was in 2003 Carey Bock contacted WWASPS’ attorneys and negotiated a price for her computer hard drive which contained private information of many families and private e-mails …. According to a deposition she gave in December 2003, Carey Bock asked for $100,000 and settled for $12,500. She accepted money from the same organization she claims harmed her children."

Frod is the only one that seems to get this. Carey sold out. Why would wwasp even know about her computer? She called and told them and offered to sell the info. It was never a question of them trying to subpeona her computer. Another Carey fantasy.

That is not at all what happened. This is one person spun story of what they wanted and still want people to think happened. This same person is still in the business of spinning the facts.

Spin? Sounds like you kinda spun some stuff yourself.

Funny who and what comes out of the woodwork at times like these.

Truth wins over evil. But you already know that I'm sure.

Truth? What truth? The truth that the referral diva admits she placed kids in harms way. I mean that is the truth isn't it. She has admitted to making those mistakes (not sure how many she referred, but we know it was many). I know she is in denial about some others, those more recent referrals, but who knows maybe one day she will be able to admit to them as well.

Truth? You all agreed:

That is not true.

First, I did not have "private information on many families" on my computer.  I didn't have private information on any families on my computer.

Second, I gave WWASP access to my aol emails, not access to my entire computer.

Third, I never asked for $100,000.  I asked for them to reimburse me for my trip to Dundee and for my attorney's fees.  It was around $30,000.  In my deposition I said that if they would have offered me $100,000, I would have taken it.

I think this is a great idea, and applaud Carey.

No transcripts of this "trial" is shocking for several reasons, not the least of which is there is no record of witness testimony, assuming Scheff called any.

I really hope Carey gets a new trial so she can present her own facts and witnesses.  This judgment was so far over the top, I am shocked the state of Florida hasn't called for immediate reform.

Good luck Carey!

It will be great if/when Carey is given her chance to have this judgement vacated and Carey will be awarded a REAL TRIAL, where evidence can be presented before a jury and judge.
Then to quote Sue Scheff, "the truth will prevail."

Sue Scheff and Isabelle Zehnder write their blogs and protect their lies with DISCLAIMERS and call is referred to as "freedom of speech?"  Perhaps a real trial might set some guildeliines on some of this seemingly outrageous, deceitful behavior.
