My name is Sarah El Madawi and I am the mother of Suzie El Madawi, a
student at Casa By The Sea, Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico
I want to tell you how much of a positive effect the school has had on
my life, my families life and the life of my child Suzie.
In August of this year, my daughter enrolled in Casa. I brought her
5000 miles from England to Casa because I truly believed that here there
was hope for the future and that my child would be safe. I couldn't
have asked for a better place.
The effect it has had on me is that I can sleep at night. I know that
my daughter is safe, I know where she is, and that she is with people
who genuinely understand her problems and have a drug free, healthy
environment and positive, non physical methods and techniques by which
Suzie can self analyse and learn. You are very lucky to have such a
school in your country and Casa needs to be applauded and celebrated for
the fantastic work they carry out.
Can you imagine what it feels like to have a conversation with a 15 year
old who previously would not come home for days on end, who associated
with individuals who dealt in drugs?
Can you imagine what it is like to not be able to reach your own child
through your love? This is the situation that existed prior to Suzie
going to Casa. Now I have love filled letters from her thanking me for
sending her to Casa and allowing her to heal some of the pains that she
was carrying inside.
I have a daughter who now has a future and who again has ambition.
Without Casa my daughter would have been dead, in prison or who knows
what.
Working with Casa has allowed me to pay attention to other members of my
familly, to sleep, to have a life again. It has stopped me having to
roam the streets at night looking for my 15 year old in places that
otherwise I would never have visited. Casa has provided me with a
present and a future and is helping me to heal and learn from the past.
Please, please support the school. Without it children will die.
