I have heard from staff that are still there that the inmates are basically running the assylum. Staff are afraid to do much of anything in terms of confronting because they are spooked by the lawsuit. There is apparently a sense of apathy rising amongst the counseling staff.

I know that several staff members told my kid that they would be leaving HLA's employment soon. We saw some ex staff around Dahlonega that told us that they were so happy that we were pulling our kid out of HLA.

This is a good question.  How can he be a director of something he's legally barred from doing?  Doesn't make much sense...

He can do it because he does not do clinical supervision of the counselors.  He is more of a legistics person.  Director of Counseling is not really a good title for what he does.  He more manages the counseling department.  HLA should have licensed therapist doing the supervision of their counselors.  I am not sure they do at this point or not.
