Isabelle Zehnder's False Statements- Whitmore BLOGS
« on: May 29, 2007, 10:03:12 AM »
Isabelle Zehnder continues to "update" her Whitmore Academy BLOG; and she continues to make false statments.
Zehnder's statement, "Isabelle Zehnder did her homework" gives the false impression that she writes the truth.
Zehnder's "version" of the WHITMORE RUNAWAY BOYS is a good example:
She writes: "This mother enticed three theens to run away from this program."
FACT: the three boys ran away from Whitmore Academy-on their own, and had IN FACT, been hiding out at the home of Whitmore emploee's property for two days.

She writes: "An apartment awaited them," giving the impression that this mother may have provided these run-aways an apartment.
She writes:  "They went to the airport and were flown half way across the county to a music festival that may be consider a drug fest.
FACT: these run-aways were going to the APARTMENT of a former Whitmore student, Chris Gentile in Chicago--who assisted these boys in their plans to run away from Whitmore.
Chris Gentile made the plans, and travel arrangement to attend the music festival in Tennessee.
FACT: Chris; Gentile had recently assisted another Whitmore student, Alex, in her escape from Whitmore Academy; and he safefly aided her in safely returning to her family in California.

She writes:  SPECIFICALLY she accuses Isabelle Zehnder of getting a financial kickback of some sort from referring children to programs.
FACT:  NO WHERE is such a statement written.

She writes:  That all of her (Isabelle Zehnder's) work on CAICA has been "pro-bono."  That may be a true statement.  BUT, Zehnder does promote her new company Positive Family Solutions on CAICA, which is a FOR PROFIT company; and Zehnder does charge fees for her "coaching services."
Reportedly--Zehnder's fee is $2,500 for 3 months.  This "fee" reportedly includes 1 hour coaching per week for the child; and l hour coaching for the parent PER WEEK.  All coaching is done over the telephone.
Therefore: Zehnder's statement, "Isabelle does not charge for her services..." is misleading.

She writes: That the only complaint Sue Scheff /PURE "has ever received was from this mother mentioned in the article...."
FACT:  another Whitmore family submitted a statement to ISAC, which criticizes Sue Scheff, and warns other parents not to use Scheff/PURE:  "Statement From the Mother and Grandmother of a Former Student."

It could be asked:  What is Zehnder's "vested interest" in attacking this parent with so many false statements?

The many other FALSE STATEMENTS made by Isabelle Zehnder in reference to the criminal charges against Cheryl Sudweeks, the Plea Bargain, have been discussed in detail by Zen Agent on another thread and will not be repeated in detail here.

BUT: it does not appear that Isabelle Zehnder has gotten many of the FACTS incorrect in this Whitmore Academy BLOG.
Zehnder could easily check court documents and truthfully report that Cherly Sudweeks WAS CRIMINALLY CHARGED with abuse, hazing against 4 children who attended Whitmore Academy.  Zehnder could have reported HONESTLY that Cheryl Sudweeks accepted a PLEA BARGAIN, and agreed to not operate a facility in Juab County, Utah for life.
Zehnder could check court documents, and know that this parent she is bashing is not a part of the civil case against Whitmore Academy/Sudweeks and does not--as she writes "have a vested interest in attempting to discredit both Isabelle Zehnder and CAICA, as well as other child advocates and groups."
As a matter of fact---WHERE does this parent Zehnder is bashing even mention ADVOCATES in the PLURAL?  Does Zehnder have the "weak hope" of having other professional child advocates join her in this vicious attack against a parent?

FYI:

Apparently, both CAICA and PURE are listed on ISAC's facility and referrer watchlist.

I get the connection with Sue Scheff now...

PURE/Sue will refer parents looking for coaching to Isabelle/CAICA.

Isabelle/CAICA will advocate for Sue on her site and will refer to Sue if the parents want to place their child into a program.

It all makes much more sense now.  That is a lot of money for "coaching".  Especially, since she is NOT a licensed mental health professional.

Imagine if a PROFESSIONAL, LICENSED PSYCHOLOGIST wanted to conduct therapy sessions over the phone, and then suggested a patient just mail him/her a check?

Great work, if you can get it, IZZY!

Why would parents hire a coach instead of a licensed child or family therapist to help resolve behavioral issues?  This reminds me of Resource Realizations - that company that provides the seminars to WWASPS programs.  They are also into "coaching".

People against CAICA

Coalition Against Instutional Chils Abuse (CAICA) is a company founded by Isabelle Zehnder. I'm sure she had the best intentions when starting this company. ...

It reads "page not found"
What "people" could possibly be against Isabelle Zehner, CAICA?
A self-proclaimed "child advocate" who supports Sue Scheff and PURE; even naming Scheff as her "ADVOCATE OF THE MONTH?"
An "advocate" who writes a blog containing lies that bashes one parent in particular, and other Whitmore parents and their children; calling abuse victims liars; even after Cheryl Sudweeks has accepted a Plea Bargain in the criminal case?
An "advocate" who states that programs are an alternative in some cases?
NAH, surely no people could be against Zehnder, could they?

Per Isabelle Zehnder as posted on HER blog.

Civil and criminal lawsuits were filed against the Whitmore. The civil suit is ongoing, but the criminal suit has been resolved. The state indicated they did not have the evidence needed to prove abuse or to prosecute the Sudweeks. They entered into a plea agreement with the Sudweeks in an effort to resolve the case. Cheryl was ordered to perform community service and to not operate a program for children for one year in Juab County.

Oh really?

Stay tuned ... this statement (and several others also made by Ms. Zehnder will be proven patently FALSE.

That statement is FALSE:
Cheryl Sudweeks was order to not operate a facility for children in Juab County FOR LIFE...not "for one year."
It appears that Isabelle Zehnder should try to get her "facts" straight if she desires to blog, blog blog.

Ewwww ... this is totally creepy!!!!!!!!!!

When are parents going to wise up and realize the extra money they might spend on a licensed family THERAPIST is a wise investment compared to throwing money down the drain on hocus-pocus alternatives?

Did I read somewhere that Isabelle is planning on offering workshops or seminars of some sort?

Allegedly ....it is called how to market yourself like an adovate and make money.  It has a second series of how to that instructs you how to blog yourself into a career.  During which she will tuch on the subjects of how to keep close partnerships with controversial and unethical referral agencies.. giving yourself a bad name.  If this doesnt sway you.. The workshop on how to torment and and harrass the children parents who complain about the abusive schools and programs you support.  I believe all of it is done so professionally .. by phone or email.

Per Isabelle's posting on Whitmore blog:

"Mary Gentile went on to say that during group therapy sessions, which consisted of a licensed therapist......."

Mary Gentile is the parent of former student, Chris Gentile.  Mary Gentile was not present at Whitmore Academy during the daily group therapy sessions; so she has no personal knowledge of who conducted the group sessions--her statements are based  on hearsay.

Whitmore Students have posted on FORNITS numerous times; and they relate that all group sessions were led by Cheryl Sudweeks, and that NO LICENSED THERAPISTS conducted the group sessions.

Cheryl Sudweeks is not a licensed therapist; and she does not have a college degree; and she holds no credentials that qualify her to conduct group therapy.

AGAIN, Isabelle writes false, misleading information in this Whitmore blog in what appears to be an attempt to praise this defunct facility and the owner, Cheryl Sudweeks--who accepted a Plea Bargain in the criminal case against her for abuse/hazing against 4 Whitmore students.

I can't speak for anyone else, but personally I just love a good satire.

Thanks anon, well done!
