HLA To Be Dropped from Major Loan Source "Approved"
« on: April 05, 2007, 01:29:35 PM »
Due to substantiated claims of fraud and abuse, TERI (http://www.teri.org/) will no longer fund loans to attend HLA (also Elan Schools).

TERI has concluded that HLA is not an educational institution and therefore educational loans to "attend" cannot be given.

TERI has been a major source of funding for HLA parents.  Look for HLA to be removed from the "approved schools" list in the next few weeks.

I'm not sure if HLA has been notified yet, but, if not, it's my pleasure to inform them.

No problem.  Unlike Mr. MPD, I actually have viable sources.  This is a done deal and the announcement is forthcoming.  Until it is made public, I can just ignore MPD Boy and the other one while they make buffoons of themselves only to be proven beyond any doubt that, once again, they've no clue.

Let the press release and deletion of HLA from the "approved schools" list be the litmus test of my accuracy.  I can wait.  It won't be long.

DJ, whether HLA is closed or not closed, you dont get a T-shirt or a hat your name is not on the class action request.  You took no risk.  The only ones that can decalre victory or loss are the ones that did the work.

Yeah, pretty cool.  It's going to choke off hundreds and hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of funding.  I had heard an estimate some time ago that TERI provided the loans for up to 35% of HLA kids.  It's a big hit.

At ASR it was set up a little differently, they had us pay monthly (maybe 2 months in advance), there wasnt a need for financing for most of the parents as I recall.  Some took home equity loans to cover the entire cost, but ASR allowed us to pay as we go.

I guess those doors will be closing in May as Bucci promised (threatened?).

Is HLA trying to do a litle more damage control and make themselves look more appealing by listing these accreditations?

SACS
SAIS
GAC
GISA
NAIS
SSAT

http://www.hiddenlakeacademy.com/Accreditations.aspx

They're all in bed with each other so these "accreditations" are really worthless. Nice try though!

Now if they could just show a license to go along with all those then theyd have something worth showing.

HLA has had those accreditations for years and has listed them for years.  If you don't think SACS is a reliable accrediting body, then please list one that is better.  This is the main accrediting body for public schools, colleges, and universities.

Also, a liscense should be coming within a month.

Update on TERI Funding
« Reply #11 on: April 27, 2007, 02:23:54 PM »
My very closely held source informs me that HLA (and Elan, too, by the way - shows the regard HLA is held in by being equated with a notrious shit-pit) will both be cut off from TERI funding in 90 days.

At least that's one major funding source choking off funds due to HLA's behavior with consumers.  Hopefully more will take the reins and do the same.

Gee, and doesn't it mean soooooooooo much more that one can choose their own cronies(35 year friends) and one employee from St. Francis to do the accrediting visit?  Now how on earth did those
colleagues miss the SCIENCE LAB????  You know, the one Jeff Holloway said he would check into? You know the one he should have known HLA could not have because of FIRE REGULATIONS. I guess he is still looking for it.
And, from what I was told, the cronies  never even left the offices... Did they check out the Chalet?  Has the blood been cleaned up out of the boys bathroom yet? or the girls dorm, you know, the time when the young girl slit her wrists and the blood was left in the room and hallway all day? oops, which young girl, that is right, it never happened.
SACS, right-oooooooooooooo.
License?  Twelve years overdue, wouldn't you say?  I guess HLA chose to apply for it on a whim, just woke up one day and said,
"Why don't we get licensed"?

Dah, Big JOE, apparently stated HLA purchased a MOBILE LAB!

I think maybe it was a LAB that still had its four legs and therefore

was MOBILE. Yes, that must be what he meant.

Maybe it was a meth lab?  That guy was obviously high on some powerful stuff.  :D

Without TERI funds it's doubtful they will be building any lab...
