Springsteen did a version of it live...I've never been much of a Springsteen fan, but real early on he was getting mad props from the Noo Yawk music royalty...Shit, even Lou Reed was a fan and had Bruce do a bit on "Street Hassle", reading a bit that ended with the line "we were born to run,"
