SPACE COOKIES SPACED OUT

This is some band formed by former WWASPS kids that apparently doesn't give a damn if they refer kids to other programs as long as they ain't WWASPS.  How else do you explain the promo links to CAICA and PURE?

poor fools.

Wonder how they rationalize the disconnect between their message, and who they're suporting?

If it bothered me enough to post a whiny thread about it, I would.

They are actually doing something worthwhile you all you people do is complain.

CAICA and PURE are listed on ISAC's referrer and partner watch list

Serious balls?  If that were true, they'd stand up for the right of all kids not to be preyed upon by people who profit from enabling parents to ship their kids off to WWASPS competitor schools.

Sounds like SCL has spawned a couple more WWASPS survivors who see nothing wrong with the referral biz.

The least they could do is post a link to Fornits so their readers don't get a one-sided sugar-coated view of the industry.  It aint all about WWASPS space cookies.

How fucking hard is that?

Yo Space Cookies - how did each of you end up in a WWASPS program? Were any of you referred by another WWASPS parent in exchange for one month's free tuition?  Or were you referred by some other ed con?  Maybe if you think about the answer to these questions, you will understand why some folks might be turned off by your double standard.

With no program parents posting here, you attack program survivors. Two previous guests, what programs were you incarcerated and abused at?

Sadly, these kids don't appear to have the insight they need to understand that legitmizing the referral industry is not the way to save children.

It is the gateway to exposing them to the same kind of abuse and exploitation they endured.

Selling kids to programs is abusive, in and of itself. It does not matter if the program is a WWASPS program or not.

You would think WWASPS kids would know that better than most, given the majority of them were victims of WWASPS  "referral" program.

Are they so desperate for "support" that they would sacrifice the safety and well-being of children in the name of activism?

The anti-wwasps movement has turned into a sick, twisted way to exploit children and parents and should not be tolerated by anyone who claims to be a humanitarian or activist.

PURE is a referral company.  CAICA supports PURE which raises troubling questions about a conflict of interest.

This is not rocket science, space cookies.  If you really want to make a statement, then have the courage to stand up for your beliefs and be true to your message.  Don't sell your soul and expect anyone to buy your CD's.

Yeah, it is sad. Their devotion to SS and company, despite their insistence they are opposed to all teen programs, has made them a laughing stock. Having once been much the same, and for much the same reason - I feel for them. . . but then again, once there was Proof I had been played for a fool, I faced facts. These boys seem determined to keep their heads buried in the sand. Why is the question.

This thread may at least open Space Cookies' eyes to the other side of the story - the one that is based on Sue Scheff's own words and the words of her former business associates at WWASPS

They arent going to wade through this dump of a forum seraching for hit threads on them. There emails are right up on the page if you disagree so strongly send them some emails and have a rational discussion like real people do. This is child like behaviour, having a tantrum until you get your way. The owner of this site made a mistake in giving Pure Bullshit its own forum, it shows they give into tantrums.. you bitch long enough youll get your own forum.
