The Judge will not certify this class action

You have been the most informative person on this board.

Happyday7, might I ask what your affiliation with HLA is. Former student, former staff, etc. I am just curious.

--- Quote from: ""happyday7"" ---They did file their application by the deadline date. I know that much. I just wonder if they close, if current families can get any of their money back? It seems to just be a waiting game at this point.

Yeah, I knew they filed it. Before they did they went scrambling, retroactively checking references and backgrounds on their employees - something that obviously should have been done before they were hired, but I digress...

So, they did try to clean house and get ready for their review.  But, in the bigger picture, these are good things.  They're being forced to conform to the rules of the road and the kids will only benefit from it.

loosing a class action certification is a blessing in discuize. heres how.

with a class action it will limit who can sue later on in the future, every one has to join it or they are out of luck. and if the case is lost then all are out of luck..

with no class action there can be multipal lawsuits filed. and if one looses there are still 20 more to go.....

This is one slowass judge. Maybe he's looking to make a point with regards to HLA's artificial "March 1 we close down" deadline?
