Justice - do they have to have been there when Michael was there?
There are plenty of Ex-Casa kids - but I don't think there have been any to come forward who knew Michael - tho someone could pop up any day.
There is Michael Traylor, who was his room mate. He was quoted in one of the articles. I don't know how much help he would be as he came across as programmed - blamed Michael's not working his program for his situation. But some time has gone by - and he might be thinking differently by now. Also, if you have specific questions to ask you can often get enlightening and useful answers; even from the most programmed kid.
You really ought to check out myspace. There are a lot of the kids on My space.

Thanks for the info, I will certainly try myspace. I was looking for kids who knew Michael, but also who witnessed any abuse at Casa in 2000 and 2001, whether they knew Michael or not. Thanks for your help.

--- Quote from: ""Guest"" ---There's another WWASPS kid who is accused of being involved in the killing his mother and severally injuring his father (he was not the trigger man, another person has been accused of committing the actual murder).
The boy's name is Christopher Patrick Sutton. He lives in Miami, Florida and I believe he is in jail awaiting trial. Anybody know who is lawyer is?
I hope Michael Perry can appeal his conviction. The whole trial stunk to high heaven, IMO.
--- End quote ---
His lawyer is listed on the website for the department of corrections. Before the sympathy for him rolls in, please be aware that he spoke of killing his parents years before going to Paradise Cove. He, I think, was born damaged. It doesn't change that he deserves to be punished for a multitude of crimes.

Jailhouse "confessions" are notoriously untrustworthy: created by “witnesses” to buttress cases by parties with agendas, get sentances reduced, etc.
There should be more support for this poor boy. Shame.

I was in casa in 2001, I witness and was subjected to many forms of abuse.
However, that wouldn't give me the excuse to shoot a lady and steal her car, regardless the condition of my mental state.
I wouldn't feel comfortable participating in a case that used that kind of a cop out for a murderer, and furthermore it pisses me off that an criminal defense attorney would try to capitolize on this issue, doing so would only serve to discredit the claims of the INNOCENT people who are trying to sue WWASP.
Leave this issue to a legitimate case, don't degrade it by using it as a "get out of jail free card" for a kid that clearly needs to be locked up.
I'm not saying I wish the death penalty for this kid, but honestly, I think its possible to make a case for insanity without degrading the claims of other survivors by using casa as a scapegoat. Frankly, there is no amount of abuse that a normal kid could possibly experience in Casa that would drive them to kill a woman, only the existance of a very serious pre-existing condition could do that.
This whole case only sheds a bad light on this cause, and I'm pretty sure any survivor of casa would be wary to get involved.
