You know something, it's been about 15 years since I was at Elan and I have to say that yes, I have been brainwashed. I have to wonder why  I act like a fucking general all the time. My husband (who loves me but makes fun of me) calls me general. I think that everyone I know thinks I'm way to tightly wound and need to calm down. But ah! Too many months as or part of the Expiditors have led me down this tight ass path. "Don't do this" "Don't say that" "Act your age" "Do what's hard and the rest will follow" I find myself instilling that crap on people that don't even know what Elan is and don't really deserve to either because they are good people.
I mean, I work in Insurance for gods sake. I was never like that. I used to be cool!!!    :cry2:
FUCK YOU ELAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

whoa... makes me glad I was shotdown/worker the entire time I was there. I've been out for 3, maybe 4 years and it hasn't influenced me a damn bit. I essentially just waited out my 14 months and reminded myself it all meant nothing, that it was a silly little game.

One time I "got my feelings off" in a polite, monotone voice and expressed how much I liked everyone... haha, they loved it when i did that

Anyone who was in Elan was brainwashed, in one way or another. And if you think I want you to pity me or something then you just don't get it. I have a nice life, I just wish that I could have had a nice life without those freaks. I just wish I could have grown up normal instead of having to be influenced by everyone there- students and staff alike. It's taken me a long time to say, because I always had it in my mind that I should be thankfull for everything they gave me. But they don't deserve a thing from me, and they certainly didn't deserve $40,000 a year of my family's money. ROT IN HELL ELAN!!!!!!

Everyone who was in Elan did pick up some of Elan's ways. A shotdown or not it happened as much as one fought it it sunk in.
